Guest guest
Relatively good news today. I talked to the licensed herbal nutritional advisor at my local health food store and he has had so many people who were on antibiotics who had lymes that he has developed a regimen that is helping them. In fact he seems to know an awful lot about the disease. I trust this guy, he's never steered me wrong, and a lot of what he said to me is resonating with a lot of nutritional information I already know. He has even helped people clear out the lymes who refused to take the antibiotics, though admits that's a bit more difficult. When I get the whole list of things from him, I will put it up here on this lyme list, just as informational stuff. He isn't claiming he will cure me, but much of this information is common sense anyway. NTL, I do have faith in him and that in itself is worth it's weight in gold. He says I'm already doing some very good things, like taking extra garlic, calloidal silver (I make my own, and it's at a much more metabolized dose of 5 ppm), grapefruitseed extract, which is a natural anti-viral (yes I know it's a bacteria, but there is evidently a synergistic effect in terms of fighting off the spirochete), and a lot of other things. He has a non-ibuprofen anti-inflammatory which he not only swears by but a lot of his doctor customers are now giving to their patients that has the added benefit of boosting the immune system. Tomorrow I'm going to have a hypnotherapy session to help me with creative visualization to fight this off. Since I do work for the woman who is doing it for me, I know it can't hurt. Her website (which I maintain) is at www.passagerites.com . Anyway, I'm hopeful, this gives me a lift and a bit of a life-line, rather than on relying on a doctor who is not at all lyme literate (he was consulting with a rheumatoid arthritis expert for pity's sake! He wasn't going to extend my anti-biotic until I TOLD him that I had never suffered from arthritis in my life until after the tick bite). Sigh... I hate HMOs! And the AMA! And the Pharmaceutical companies. They keep doctors in the dark about alternative care. Unfortunately, my nutritionist knew more about lyme than my doctor. He has evidently treated a lot of people who had no luck with antibiotics, with a great deal of success. He isn't charging me for his advice as he's the paid nutritionist of the natural food store. He did say that my doctor was pretty good when it came to holistic methods, as my MD is in an office right next door to the store, but I got the gist that he didn't feel that my doctor probably had enough knowledge about this type of problem. My hypnotherapist is going to work with my subconscious in ways that are conducive to helping me visualize killing or neutralizing the bug and also in terms of seeing myself as healthy and whole. She is going to work with the activities I love, like my spinning and my weaving to hypnotically induce an image of wellness when I engage in those activities to help me in my healing. I think this is a very positive and wholistic as well as sensible approach, as I will heal best when I'm involved in those activities which pleasure me. Pleasure brings about endorphin releases, and pumping that up with suggestions to my subconscious certainly won't hurt. In the meantime I'm still following the allopathic regimen of the antibiotics, but I'm not all that faithful in it, as I've seen plenty of people who did and are still suffering and because i'm suffering all the symptoms of lyme's even though I'm on the antibiotic. It may be endotoxinic release as the spirochete dies, but considering how it plays such a good game at subterfuge, I'm a bit skeptical. It may be necessary to take it long enough to make sure that we catch it in it's reproductive stage (which is about 4-6 weeks into it's cycle in the body after infection) when it's actually in the blood and not hiding in connective tissue and other places anti-biotics can't reach, where it normally hides out. My doctor did extend the antibiotic treatment for another 2 weeks so that will be a total of 34 days, but I " m not sure that's enough, and there are other things to worry about in terms of this, especially a depleted immune system because of all the antibiotics. I would hate to turn around after all of this and have lupus, candida, or another auto-immune deficiency. That's why I'm going to be dosing really hard on very intense doses of pro-biotics, as my nutritionist said that the pro-biotics that I was taking since they AREN't under refrigeration are probably inadequate and he said the dose was far too conservative anyway, especially for fighting off diseases of this immensity. Anyway that's where I'm at, I appreciate all your letters of support and kindness. Bright Blessings, Joy
