Guest guest Posted October 7, 2008 Report Share Posted October 7, 2008 Dear Family, Two weeks ago as I was finishing one of my yards I got a phone call from my Mom. She said you better come home, I have really hurt myself. I got home to find quite a mess in the kitchen and floor as Mom had severely cut open her leg and did not know she had done so. Long story short the EMTs took one look at this 8 inch long gash and said uh oh...you need stitches. She refused to go to the hospital. I then called her GP and he said get her in to our urgent care now. So we went and well 5 hours later and 9 thick wire stitches and 9 butterfly stitches and surgical glue we got home. We have been doing every couple of days a trip to Dr for cleaning and redressing the wound. We had last week off while it still remained bandaged and stitched. We went in yesterday to remove the stitches and well here is what has happened. Moms skin is so thin the stitches did not work. THe wound is open and not much healing has been done. SO it has been steri stripped with half inch wide butterfly stitches and more glue on the butterflys. Please we need healing work done for Mom. She is very prone to infection and the wound site itself is where the cellulitis infection sets in. No sign of infection so far...Please send healing energy to my Mom Dorothy Trumble. Her circulation is very poor in her legs as it is, she also suffers from Chronic Anemia and many unoperatable blockages in her arteries. Stint work can no longer be done do to her health condition.
