Guest guest
Great Imitator Family Masquerade to Benefit Lyme Disease Research , NJ - Ghosts and goblins may seem scary, but the growing incidence of Lyme disease in New Jersey is truly frightening. Known as the Great Imitator, it is often misdiagnosed because it mimics so many other conditions. When Lyme disease is left untreated, it can lead to serious and chronic complications. The Lyme Disease Association, Inc. is sponsoring its 10th annual Great Imitator Family Masquerade Fundraiser on Sunday, October 22, 2000 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Whiting Volunteer Fire Co #1, Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ. Deejay Mr. Bill will lead the festivities with dancing and costume contests with great prizes; costumes are optional. The Barnegat Bay Pipe band will also put in a guest appearance. Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $7.00 for children. Tickets for children under 2 years of age are free. Ticket price includes food and entertainment; 50/50's also will be sold at the event. All proceeds will fund national Lyme disease research. To date, the all-volunteer Lyme Disease Association has raised over $600,000 for research, education, and prevention. For ticket and other information call Betty at (732) 542-7308.
