Hey Pepi and all,

I've actually only been diagnosed for the past three weeks but I'm sure I've

been sick for a long time, just like so many others.

I convinced my dr. (not particularly Lyme oriented but an easy guy) that I

was certain I had Lyme, and he put me on doxycycline, pending a titer. 5-6

days on the Doxy, my symptoms started to ease. I woke up one morning without

a headache for the first time in weeks and weeks and weeks, and each day, I

felt better. Because the titer was negative, he then said he didn't think

that was the correct dx, but since I had symptom relief, take the abx for two

weeks instead of four.

I did, and now a week off the meds, my sx are back full force including that

old familiar rib pain, body aches, headaches, blah, blah blah!

Obviously, I need more med time.

I live in a high risk area, and had tick bites with rash, although not the

classic bull's eye. I also grew up in upstate New York and spent my entire

growing up time out doors. I believe my sx started 15 years ago, but no dr.

wants to hear " I hurt all over " as the chief complaint. So I gave in and

blamed myself.

But I was so relieved to get a change in sx once on antibiotics. It makes me

glad to have a dx, no matter what the dx.

Pepi, I'm sorry if I came on so strong about the hissing and spitting. I just

hate to see it. And I didn't see it originate from you, unless I missed an

important chapter.

thanks for your concern, and I love what you guys are doing.
