When I was treating for candida, I gave up all sugar and fruit, wheat,

tomatoes and milk for a long long time, except for raisins on my

oatmeal in the morning - I just couldn't give that up. I also

satisfied my sweettooth with a sip of mangosteen juice or a bite (just

a bite) of brownie or something like that from time to time. Gradually

I added things back to my diet as I felt that they were not having an

adverse effect. Now I eat fruit, wheat and milk and tomatos, sugared

yogurt from time to time. After you have been off sugar and fruit for

a long time, you stop craving so much sugar, and putting fruit back

seems a blessing. I tried to savor the other things I love, like real

gravy and roasted meat. I drink my tea without sugar and find I

appreciate the flavor a lot more. My favorite right now is celestial

seasonings Candy Cane Lane iced tea - unsweetened.
