Guest guest
I live in land and I am trying to do the same thing. I started with the County Council, only because theirs was the first scheduled meeting after I had decided to do this. I am going next to the school board, the community association, my church, the police community meetings anywhere that will have me, I sent to Pennsylvania for Lyme literature, I carry it and some damminix tubes in my car, for instant show and tell. I have written all my state and federal representatives but have not heard back from any except that they were out of office. I left some brochures at Walmart pharmacy when I picked up my doxy scrip. I do a neighborhood newsletter blog and if you go there you can read my notes I took for the county council. http://therealharmanwoodsnews.blogspot.com You are welcome to use any of my text if you want. I did some research about the frequency of Lyme in my county and that scared the council members and is having an impact on whoever I talk to. In 1991 Rep Nita Lowey of NY tried to get some legislation passed on treating deer with ivermectin. She doesn't answer e-mails from non-constituents so I haven't been able to contact her about that. What state do you live in? It's nice to know someone else has the same idea. I'm starting local but I'm mad about all this and I'm going to be unrelenting until people learn how to protect themselves, which includes getting the wildlife management people and the health departments to inoculate the deer and other small animals (by feeding ivermectin or whatever it takes) I did not have to get this disease - If Nita Lowey had gotten her legislation passed years ago many of us might have escaped this disaster. I intend to try to prevent more disasters, first in the yards of the people close to me, and then move outward. And I'm glad that so far I am not so debilitated by the disease that I can't do this. > > I live in a town where it is believed that *all* the ticks are infected.
