Guest guest
If I recall, there is a large thread on the archives with info re repelling ticks. I remember Selma in particular (bless you Selma!) had a lot of information. ellen > > Hi Eliza - just read your comment about being a tick magnet. Guest guest
Thanks Ellen!~ Borrelia nosodes LM4 or LM6 (homeopathic). Few globules once a week. It does miracles. I don't put anything else on me when I'm out, nor with my daughter, nor to my cat. Let's see this spring! Guest guest
Hi, there is a good and well documented article discussing effectiveness of DEET and Permethrin. DEET is a very poor tick repellent but permethrin used on clothing is effective . DEET is aggressively marketed as being effective for ticks by manufacturers.DEET is effective for repelling mosqitoes but not for ticks. There is a section on pros and cons of using these products. For details : http://www.wildernetwork.org/deet_vs_permethrin.html Best health to all Claudine
Guest guest
Since we are on the subject of ticks, does anyone know of a natural tick and or mosquito repellent that is safe to use on a 14 m old? Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerryFrom: "free.born39" <free.born39@...>Sender: Vaccinations Date: Tue, 10 Apr 2012 12:00:33 -0000<Vaccinations >Reply Vaccinations Subject: Ticks / Doctor refusal to see kids If you have land, guineas can clean up the ticks in your area they say in around 6 months.Regarding the CDC calling unvaccinated parents, that to me sounds similar to the school board mass calling parents telling them they HAVE TO vaccinate their kids or they won't be allowed in school. To me, this is solicitation for the vaccine manufacturers and should fall under the category of illegal, violating law.I too have been turned away by our son's dentist when I refused routine x-rays as being too much. It seems to me that one group of x-rays every 3-4 years is one thing, but every visit is just them trying to make money and exposing children to unnecessary radiation. The same thing happened to me at the Pediatrician. My son wanted to go in for some minor issue. This doctor knew that we did not vaccinate due to previous injuries. We waited in the exam room for over an hour, which is against my policy. Normally, I will never wait for a doctor that long. Otherwise, what is the point of having an appointment. We finally gave up and left after an hour and a half. But if these doctors are outright refusing to see kids based on vaccines, that is discriminatory and deserves either a lawsuit or complaint to the appropriate agency. I would say the medical licensing board in the state you are living in.
Guest guest
I know they make clothing that is supposed to be tick resistant. I know that B1 taken at 100-500mg is supposed to help repel mosquitos. If you do a search for all natural tick repellent several sites come up including this one: http://www.mosquitobarrier.com/
