My parents came and his special ed teachers came and brought their families. He had a whole cheering section. It was just beautiful. Oh ya, and his team won. The finals are tomorrow morning during school. I'll videotape that too. I have to find last year's video and post that. You can really see a difference. Another great thing was did this in front of the Principal and Special Ed Director! Thanks to such a wonderful staff for giving this opportunity. Sounds like we can > attribute your son's success to good mothering. > > Thanks Bob, I wish I could take all the credit. But, I can't. The staff at the school loves him so much. I even saw one of his classmates from last year at the game tonight. The kid was so happy to see . I was sitting in the gym, looking at all these parents of typical kids. I didn't know any of them. I need to start going to after school activities and making playdates. This is all new to me- is my only kid. I have to get used to him having typical friends. I know this is just the beginning and has a long way.... but he's done things I never thought he would do. Even tonight I said to my mom " I don't expect him to get a basket. He's not athletic at all " . Not only did he get a basket- he had great form and followed through! There IS hope.

Guest guest
> > That is wonderful . What state do you live in? > Thanks (and thanks to everyone who commented) I live on Long Island. Totally lucked out with my school district. I moved here when my son was 1 month old. If I would have moved one town over (my hometown) He would have nothing. Except maybe an hour long bus ride to a special program with no chance of mainstreaming. So I can't afford a home and freeze my ass off in the winter... at least I don't have to sue my school district or pay $100,000 a year for ABA. Guest guest
Hi Donna, Great job. The more people try and get the message out, the better chance a lot more kids will get help earlier. You've included a lot of helpful information and resources. And the more kids that get better, the harder it will be for the naysayers to keep pushing their message of " its a mystery, there's no cure. " Just be aware, when you are putting text out that says " trace amounts are still contained in the paediatric vaccine schedule " you are repeating the official line from vaccine manufacturers. This has never been independently verified. I have also heard of two " spot checks " done by an independent group and in both cases the " mercury free " vaccines were still full of mercury. Its not hard to lie on a label or a material safety data sheet if there is no independent body to verify a companies claims. And the manufacturers position remains " we took the mercury out, but autism is still on the rise, so you can clearly see its not the mercury. " The other thing worth mentioning is Andy Cutler maintains in the Hannah Poling case that the mitochondrial disorder is a red herring. Mercury poisoning will give you a mitochondrial disorder. Keep up the great work. Cheers Dad to Maya ASD Donna wrote: > > Hi all, > I've finished the youtube video regarding autism. Guest guest
I'd also like to add that the 'Mitochondrial disorder' I added in my video, is only to get parents to look into this...they will eventually work things out...I could have added a lot more and gone into more depth, but instead, I added 'bits and pieces' of info regarding what they need to look into.
