Guest guest
Cases of secondary fibromyalgia (i.e. occurring with another rheumatic problem) seem to improve along with the primary problem where the antibiotics are used. We don't have any data on primary fibromyalgia. However, Ethel wrote an article about one patient's successful reversal of fibromyalgia and you'll find it at rheumatic.org/fibro.htm. I've also heard that fibromyalgia patients have a reduced blood supply to the brain, so any upside- down or partially upside down positions might help. It doesn't have to be a complete yoga headstand - perhaps lying on the floor and putting the feet high upon a wall for a few minutes at a time might help. Chris. A woman in my spinning group has fibromyalgia and asked me if AP works for it. It is listed on the front of Arthritis Breakthrough but I don't remember reading much about it. Nothing has worked for her she'll try anything. Thank you ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
<fibromyalgia-stricken people doing out there to treat yourselves As Andy would say: Chelate the Mercury out of your body and heal yourself and amaze the doctors. I haven't tried this yet. I need to do the following first: 1.Buy Andy's book (Mine is on it's way to my house now! YEA! 2.Have hair sample done and send to Doctors Data. 3. Remove all amalgam fillings from my mouth using a Mercury free dentist who know's how to do this. 4. Find a doctor willing to admit that he is NOT GOD and can learn from this. He must be willing to follow through with the protocal and ask for help from those doctors familiar with this ie: Dr. Amy Holmes or Dr. Cave. 4. Fight with insurance to cover the necessary costs. As they say: It ain't gonna be easy BUT I have no choice. I am full of Mercury. It only gets worse. I have Fibromyalgia which started as frequent migrane headaches. Myofascial Pain which was misdiagnosed as TMJ for many years Chronic Fatigue, you'd be tird too if you hurt all the time and couldn't sleep. & NOW Degenerative spinal disc disorder. The discs in my spine are deteriorating. They are almost gone. 2 are herniated and was is bulging and putting major pressure on the spinal nerves. Every day is an adventure in pain. I have nothing to lose by trying this. Traditional medicine hasn't worked and my doctor just told me that there is nothing more that I can do except the surgery and while I contemplated it, I have small children at home and don't feel that this is an option YET...I'll try this first! Guest guest
I didn't have fibromyalgia, but I had chronic neck and back pain with recurrent severe muscle spasms and migrains. I had elevated antibodies to muscle too(not real high). I tested for real high mercury and arsnic. I removed all my amalgums and root canals and replaced them with composit and biocalix(for root canals). (Looks so white in there now!) Than I began chelation with Chemet (on fri, sat & sun off MTW & Th) and DMPS shots( one every 1-2 weeks). I use lots of minerals too. After a couple of months the pain is gone and the migranes are less frequent, shorter and easier to treat. I have not taken a tylenol#3 in 6 weeks. WOW. Can't wait till he chelation is complete(I am in my 3rd month and it may take a year or more). Guest guest
Thank you, Missy, Yes, I would like to e you privately (unless there are more of us out there that would be interested?!) and hear what you have to say. Could you send me your e address? I just spoke with another mother today who had fibro when her son was born and was able to cure it as of 4 years ago. I hadn't time to find out what her treatment was but I would sure be interested to hear what you have to say. I have amalgams, too but I thought that detoxing whatever else I can would probably ease the pain and discomfort until I can have them taken out. It's only just recently begun to interfere with my sleep (not nice to wake up in pain!). I can't afford to lose any more sleep so I'm pretty eager to begin detox. A year or so ago I did a dietary intervention to treat candida and it did wonders for me health wise, sensory wise, and pain wise (I'd had horrible pains in my ear that came and went at that point) so I'm thinking it just might do the trick with this, too. It's a horrible way to eat really and I eventually became depressed and feeling deprived - no gluten, no dairy, no yeast, no sugar, etc. My best friend went into moarning because we couldn't go out for our usual "treats" (pizza, bagels, danish, you-name-it. I haven't seen a eatery yet that serves rice cakes. ugh). BUT, I fell off the wagon in time and so here I am in pain again. The very worst part about this condition is the impact it has on my ability to be playful and gay with my daughter. I hate it. fibromyalgiawhile we're waiting to hear from those that attended the DAN!, what are all of you fibromyalgia-stricken people doing out there to treat yourselves? Guest guest
Is there a test for fibromyalgia? How do you know it isn't arthritis? Elise
Guest guest
I looked it up in my Tabers medical dictionary and they outline the specifications. I also have inherited arthritis and this is a very different beast. Arthritic pain comes and goes. This changes forms but is always present - sometimes a sharp pain, sometimes a deep burning sensation inthe muscles, sometimes tingling numbness, sometimes aching - but always always there - except for a verybrief period after I eat something sweet. I am convinced it has to do with Candida albicans. [ ] Re:Fibromyalgia > > Is there a test for fibromyalgia? Guest guest
Fibromyalgia was caused by mercury poisoning for me. Guest guest
, As soon as I get my amalgams out, I'm going to start chelating. I've had FMS for over 20 years! The best thing (really!) that I've found is using a combination of sleep aids (you need to get DEEP sleep, and most of us with FMS don't), some pain relief meds (I've gotten to the point of needing narcotics at time) and EXERCISE. (I get up to go swim every morning at 5AM.) I only use narcotics if I am unable to break the pain cycle using other methods. When used wisely, I believe there is a place for them. Also, I have myself on a GFCF diet, which really makes a BIG difference. Feel free to email me privately if you want more info. (Cary, NC) persistentC@... Guest guest
If you are feeling better w/o dairy, why not forget about the yoghurt & take a probiotic supplement? Why risk the pain returning? What's good in yoghurt (like vits, mins & probiotics) are all available elsewhere, including in soy yoghurt. .....I think it's probably the best way (plain and/or possibly goat milk plain yogurt) to supplement active and healthy probiotics. As you all agree that it will aggravate the FMS, do you think we might actually be able to tolerate the yogurt if we took a digestive enzyme when we ate it?....I've been completely wheat and dairy-free the last couple of days and the horrible, sharp pain in my left hip that shoots down my leg and up into my lower back is beginning to go away - .... That isn't digestible to something innocuous. > Has anyone tried this? > Thanks for your input! This is all relatively new to me. Guest guest
Welcome Bonnie. I also have FM, and I'm still working on different medications to help the pain. The only think I've found for sure that has helped me immensely is trazadone. It's an AD that I take at night and it makes me sleep like a baby. Before this, I had a 15 year sleep disorder that disabled me more than my arthritis. I'm supposed to start Prozac in the AM, but I haven't started it yet. I also have PA (Psoriatic Arthritis), for which I take Enbrel, Vioxx and MTX. What works best for me is my hot tub, no stress and plenty of rest. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. a -----Original Message----- From: 007grandma@... Guest guest
Tina, Thank you for getting back to me. That is what I thought. Truefully, Dr Goldberg is using his time where it is most needed and where he can do the most good. But I will call his office and see if they can refer me to some one else. Will get back to you with the results. Sincerely, Penny Re: fibromyalgia > Tina > Who would you recommend in MI?
