Wow Jo, that is wonderful that you no longer test positive for Lyme!

Re your question - I took Artemisinin and boneset tea for babesia. [i

diagnosed myself with Babesia - I had awful drenching night sweats]

The sweats disappeared after a week. I was surprised the remedies

worked so quickly. Hope you have very good results also.

Hello Jo,

period. He also gives sources, if that's any use to you,

Ellen, artemisinin knocks pretty many of the babesia bugs but it

doesn't get all. If you had babesia and knocked yours only with this

week or art + boneset, you'll be the first one I hear of.

Watch out for symptoms, babesia symptoms change very much EVERY time

you attack it. I never got night sweats again after using artemisinin

first time, but started having day hot flushes, for example [in my

first babesial infection].

You got to wait about 2 weeks to see symptoms coming back. It's a

tough bug to get rid of. That's why I put my two protocols here that

worked for me in middle term [first and second babesial infection].

I have never seen anyone with lyme catches babesia so fast, in less

than a month. If it happens, let us all know!!

Maybe the boneset + artemisinin do make miracles?? Did you use high

dose art or low dose art?

Hi Selma,

yes, I may still have Babesia, as my temperature fluctuates during the

day, not so much as to be unbearable, but enough to notice. But then

that may just be me.

I took the dose of Art that Buhner recommends, 100 mg, 3X day, for 40

days.

Just my thoughts, but when I used to smoke back in the 60's I drank a lot of

coffee, evrey day. When I quit in 1970, I HAD to quit coffee too as I got so

wired I couldn't stand it. A few years later I started drinking ONLY decaf.

ANd only ONE cup of that in the morning. A few cups of that and I was really

feeling it too.

Now I have just one cup for breadfast about 360 days a year. The other five,

I miss maybe one day and have a cup of the real stuff the other 4 days.

I NEED the one cup in the morning, but all that decaf can really get me

feeling bad. You might rethink drinking " real " coffee IF you still have Lyme.

Hi Jim, just a suggestion, and you probably already are aware. Organic

coffee is a " Must " , because coffee is one of the most heavily sprayed

crops on the planet (along with cotton, which is rotated with huge

industry bigboy soybean, one of the industry's biggest joke on the

public).

Unfortunately, organic whole beans (important too - you no doubt grind

your own) are $9-10/pound.

Thanks for your terrific posts!

dear jo,

glad to hear you at least have a confirmed diagnosis, sorry it's babesia to

now deal with--well, another avenue of the neverending journey.

please remember to check www.planetthrive.com for buhner's latest thinking

on babesia. i have also listened to both of his new cds, which i highly

recommend to you all. as i understand it, he does still suggest starting

with 30days of artesinin. however, he says given feedback he got since

writing the book, that does not seems to help about 50% of people. so, if

you do not feel improvements after 30 days, stop. and try cryptolepsis, per

doses on planetthrive. also sources for this hard-to=find herb are on

planetthrive (thanks again to julie's help :-)

blessings on your healing,

kendra

I'm interested in hearing what treatments people ahve used for babesia.

I reviewed Buhner. He recommends artimisin for 30 to 40 days. Does that

mean one can rid oneself of it within that length of time? jo

No Pat, I only drink ONE cup of DECAF a day. I have no way of decafinating it,

right?

There are a lot of things I don't do right yet, I am sure. Like eating TV

dinners. I have no time to do all that stuff myself, and on $503 a month Social

Security with no savings, I wouldn't last more than a couple months, IF I COULD

find all the right things. Main reaons I started encapsulating my own herbs was

because I couldn't find Stephania root already encapsulated, so I did, and then

found out I could save 75 to 80 percent on them too by doing it. THEN I also

found that the herbs are more pure that way. THEN it started getting to me that

I was putting 93 capsules a day in my body with the gelatin capsules, so I

started using the veggie caps.

It seems to be more and more difficult to find ALL what to do to live healthy.

Then even IF we eat everything right, there is the TV's, Computers, electricity,

fuel oil, gas, wood heat, all the chemicals in such things as carpeting, paints,

and on and on. ANd even if we slept outside 365 days a year, there would still

be all the polution from all the rest of the people in this country. It just

goes on and on, no end to it. And HOW you gonna stop all the rest from ruining

the earth and all it's inhabitants?

Jim.

Buhner recommends taking the art only for 6 weeks. If it does not work

by then, it won't is his belief. He more recently recommends

cryptolepis instead. I have been unable to tolerate the crypto so take

art for a while then stop, then go back to it when the sweats come

back. I'm not happy with this way of treating and hope to find

something that works to really get rid of it.

I recently had an herbal by White called 'A-Bab' recommended to

me. Does anyone know anything about this?-

Babesia...Cryptolepsis

[ ] Babesia

Someone 2-3 months ago alluded to Buhner now favoring a different herb

for babesia instead of artemisinin. While I noted it at the time, I have

misplaced it. It was apparently a change in what he thought was the best primary

herb for it. Does anyone know what the newer choice was? Doug in Durham

Hi Doug,

The new recommendation  is for CRYPTOLEPIS, (sometimes spelled cryptolepsis),

which i have bought from www.woodlandessence.com.

I hear it's out of stock right now.  It's a malaria herbal from Africa and the

supply is interrupted, no one (?) knows when it will resume.

I'm having good results right now with " Raintree Amazon A-P " and COPTIS

chinensis extract made by Herb Pharm, which i bought from iherb.com.
