Hey all, does anyone have info they would like to share about why or how

wormwood is toxic? I took it for a long time and often recommend it to

others. I would like to take it again and as part of a maintenance program

if I ever get this under control. So I would love to hear more if anyone

has time. Thanks

Wormwood certainly must be toxic, otherwise it could not kill the

parasites. :-) But fortunately it takes only some weeks to kill all

parasites and using wormwood for such a short period of time is not

dangerous. Also it is OK to use it once a week thereafter on a

maintenance program (I just had my weekly seven capsules half an hour

ago).

But as Dr. has said, it is certainly not OK to stay on high

doses of the parasite killing herbs for a very long period of time,

as a substitute to preventing reinfection and getting the toxins out

of the body.

I always buy my related products from www..net. All

their products are approved by Dr. which makes them a good

If wormwood is a neurotoxin, would you still recommend it for someone who

already suffers from some type of neurotoxic poisoning (as evidenced by

brain fog, cognitive difficulties, short term memory loss, etc.) for a

parasitic? If not, what would be the best alternative?

Patty,

Wormwood used for clearing parasites is not the same plant as wormwood

used to make absinthe, a neurotoxic drink once popular with some old

world dopers.

Hi Lori,

I saw a post a while back that mentioned "brain damage" as a result

of prolonged use of wormwood. I personally doubt it though, as the

only possible brain damage, seems to me would be the death of large numbers

of brain cells.

Hello..

Yesterday I saw a clinical nutritionist and he gave me three herbal mixtures

to take for one month and he will change them when I go back. One of the

ingredients says Wormwood for parasites.

Has anyone ever been tested using a machine that measures energy levels via

acupuncture points relative to specific organs?

Also, this nutritionist who has a PHD in Nutrition will be affiliated with a

medical doctor in about 6 weeks, and will be able to do testing via the

doctor at the Great Smokies Lab. I think I have the name correctly. If anyone

has been tested there, would you be so kind to email me. I have the option

to go that route, as I was diagnosed with systemic candiasis.

I was tested with the Great Smokies lab and it came back showing yeast and

fungus. At least it will let you know if you are on the right track. I thought

I had some sort of parasite for months.

Hi Diane

That is the machine I have been tested with. My energy levels were ok, but

not in my intestine.

The doctor diagnosed gluten intolerance with that machine but not candida. I

was in diet without gluten (but with a lot of sugar) 8 meses and I got

worse. I thought I had candida but the machine didn´t find it. So I wasted

a year feeling realy bad.

If you were diagnosed, you should be glad and should go on.

PLEASE keep in mind that most if not ALL of these supposed " cures "

are just a money grabbing ploy. You can cause serious damage to your

liver with this kind of stuff if not neath.

HCV is NOT a toxin....it is a VIRUS! Never in the history of ANY

virus have they been able to cure one. There are alot of

these " miracle cures " out there. Don't fall into their trap. They

wind up costing hundreds to thousands of dollars and are very

dangerous most of the time.

Wormwood may also protect the liver from harmful chemicals and stimulate menstruation or miscarriage. It has been used to treat the pains associated with childbirth, muscle aches, arthritic joints, sprains, and broken bones.

Wormwood has a "checkered" past : absinthe. This clear green alcoholic beverage, which contains essential oil of wormwood is highly toxic and presently banned in many countries. A favorite liqueur in nineteenth-century France, absinthe was addictive and associated with a collection of serious side effects known as absinthism (irreversible damage to the central nervous system).Thujone is the toxic element in wormwood that causes absinthism . Wormwood soaked in white wine is used to produce the liqueur called vermouth (derived from the German word for wormwood, Wermuth), which contains very little thujone.

Wormwood may be taken as a tea , as a tincture (an alcohol solution), or in pill form. Wormwood should be taken only under the supervision of a professional. It should be taken in small doses as directed, and for no longer than four to five weeks at a time.

SIDE EFFECTS

The tea can be prepared by steeping 0.5-2 tsp of wormwood in 1 cup of boiling-hot water for 10-15 minutes. The usual dosage is 3 cups daily, for a period not to exceed four weeks.Significant side effects are not encountered when wormwood is taken in small doses for only two to four weeks. One report stated, however, that using as much as 1 mL of wormwood tincture three times a day for up to nine months caused no side effects.

The U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) states that wormwood may cause neurological symptoms, including delirium, paralysis, loss of intellect, and numbness of the legs and arms. The side effects associated with absinthism include auditory (hearing) and visual (seeing) hallucinations; tremors and convulsions; sleeplessness; paralysis; stomach problems; brain damage; and an increased risk of psychological disorders and suicide.

bitter-sensing taste buds on the tongue which stimulates the whole digestive system (salivation, stomach acid production, intestinal tract movement, etc.). This bitter taste also stimulates the production of bile by the liver. The compounds in wormwood have anti-inflammatory activity, insecticidal and have anti-tumor activity. The toxin thujone (which is in wormwood) is a brain stimulant. Wormwood also has anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, carminative, tonic (restores tone to tissues), antibacterial, antifungal, anti-amoebic, hepatoprotective (prevents and cures liver damage), febrifugal (reduces fever), and vermifugal (expels intestinal worms) activities. General use Wormwood is used to eliminate intestinal worms, especially pinworms and roundworms. It is also used as an insect repellent, insecticide which can be used in gardens and on pets.Wormwood is also helpful in treating gall bladder inflammation, hepatitis, jaundice, fever,
