Guest guest
I don't quite understand your question. Are you asking about resistance to herbs? We do not build resistance to herbs. As Buhner points out in his book, organisms acquire resistance to pharmaceuticals, not to herbs. ellen > > Hi. > > I used to be on prescription mepron with a macrolide for Babesia > Duncani. Guest guest
Then, thank you, you've answered my question. Everyone on another board seems to keep implying that unless you add a prescription drug to the artemisinin, the Babesia will become resistant to it, and I will become incurable. So, Buhner feels that if I stick with the Artemisinin, I can eliminate the infection? I heard there's another herb he said is good for Babesia. Its not in the book (at least its not in the edition I have). Is there a new edition I should buy, or is the info only online (can you point me to it if this is the case)? Thank you!! > > > > Hi. > > > > I used to be on prescription mepron with a macrolide for Babesia > > Duncani. Guest guest
Ellen, Buhner recommended artemisinin for babs in his book (Healing Lyme). However, if it does not work in 6 weeks, he thinks it won't work. He later recommended the herb cryptolepis. There have been a number of posts about this so if you go to the files and type it in, you can read what people have said. The spelling varies; sometimes cryptolepis, sometimes cryptolepsis, so try both to get the most info from past posts. Also, you can go to Planet Thrive, 'ask an expert' section to get his more current recommendations. He also spoke about cryptolepsis in his 2007 conference which i bought the CD for. The issue of resistance comes up with mepron (not with herbs as has been stated). I have heard of people using art with it, but a doctor told me they add the antibiotic zithromax to mepron to avoid the resistance issue. I don't know enough about abx to know how to combine them with herbs. I I just use herbs. I am treataing with crypto now myself, after a few rounds of artemisinin. The art seemed to help, but the sweating eventually came back. I never know which symptom is caused by what bug. I'm treating with the crypto and will observe if the sweating comes back or not. Hope this helps. Best wishes in your endeavor. I'd like to hear how it goes. jo > Then, thank you, you've answered my question.
