Guest guest
If I remember Buhner book properly he states that folks with Lyme should not take anodographis at all. Also MS diagnosis seems to be a misdiagnosis folks with chronic lyme get all the time! > [ ] andrographis- short term only & not w/ MS > > I have added andrographis to my treatment. Guest guest
No, that's astragalus that shouldn't be taken for long term Lyme. Andrographis is a very important and effective part of the protocol, killing filarial worms as well as helping with the spirochetes. It wouldn't hurt to ask Buhner, and you probably should if you're on other meds, but I can tell you that I took the andrographis for the entire time without stopping and had no ill effects. It's great stuff. > > If I remember Buhner book properly he states that folks with Lyme should not > take anodographis at all. Guest guest
Buhner addressed this caution; perhaps it was in the summer,07 conference. He says that caution is completely baseless. I don't now remember the complete story, but he had talked to the man whose original product had that caution and even that person did not know why it was there. So andrographis is safe to use as Buhner prescribes, as I understand it. A question on Planet Thrive could help reassure you if you're concerned. Many have taken andrographis. It is one that some people react to; I was able to take it for many months with good effect; eventually I became 'allergic' (got a rash) and dropped it from my protocol. The herb that is contraindicated in chronic, late stage lyme is astragalus, not andrographis. Easy to get confused, especially with our 'lyme brains!' LOL! Good luck, jo > > I have added andrographis to my treatment.
