Lyme and getting teeth cleaned

Is there a list of lyme literate dentists? I am worried and concerned about an

upcoming dental appointment. Last time my teeth were cleaned I developed an

infection like lyme carditis. I told the hygenist I had lyme beforehand and she

was not concerned. When I asked the dentist about the infection he was more

concerned about his own liability than my health. He told me that I could not

have an infection from getting my teeth cleaned and it must be something else. I

asked him if he knew anything about lyme and taking more precautions, like

perhaps taking a certain antibiotic before the cleaning to advert an infection.

He said he had heard about lyme a couple of years ago. I don't really want to go

back to him and am scared to get my teeth cleaned again. If I became brave

enough, I was going to take herbal antibiotics such as echinacea and knotweed

before and after.

What experiences have all of you had and what herbal antibiotics and doses would

you take?
