Delia,

I am a herbalist out of Texas. I take all my herbs as foods. My philosophy is

that herbs are foods with medicinal qualities as the verbage will be important

in the future...Europe as of May 1, 2011 has officially taken off the market 76

herbs that I use for lyme and my practice. They will let the big pharm have

them. So when I teach people I teach them that taking them as food, in soups,

drinks, syrups, tincs, pastilles and other methods it is easy to assimilate and

the way it is administered the body responds to it as foods, instead of a

capsule coming down the shoot. I am not knocking Buhner's approach, but

capsules are not for everyone. Now, as for easy administrations. Syrups can be

made out of the dried herb/powder, decocotions and tinctures. These are all in

liquid form. I take core protocol all in tinctures...I mix my sarsparilla and

ginseng together with honey and take small nibbles on it during the day.

Powdered herbs can be mixed with honey and rolled into balls called pastilles

and eaten. If you will send me a list of herbs you are wanting him to take in

liquid form I will try to help you with it...hope this rambling helped :) Also,

making herbal medicine is not difficult, and in the end for all of us it may be

something to know. I am currently growing some of my lyme herbs and will

harvest and make myself. Dana
