Guest guest
Hi Anne, I, too, have been struggling with intense shoulder and neck pain. They become stiff, achy, along with intense burning sensations. After being on knotweed, cat's claw, and sarsaparilla for a month and a half the symptoms decreased. I still have these issues and they come and go (they surface when I herx) but are more mild and tolerable. For short term relief, I apply an ice pack for 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off, and repeat. Also, McIntyre told me Arnica should help but I haven't had a chance to order it to see how effective it is. I believe, detoxing and cleansing the liver and gallbladder help decrease the symptoms. Is your son on Red Root? This will also help remove the " junk " die off. Guest guest
Hi Anne, I have had the neck/shoulder problems for years as well. After my Lyme diagnosis and starting treatment with the protocol it did ease up somewhat. But regardless of what yo take internally there are ways to relieve the distress physically. I saw someone mentioned ice packs. I do that, but alternate them with my Bed Buddy (Barley hulls in a cotton cover w/handles) that I microwave to warm up. The change from hot to cold often (not always--let's be totally honest here) helps tremendously. It increases blood flow to the area. This method helped me deal with my 2-3x times per week migraines as well. The migraines went away when I started treatment, but the neck and shoulder pains have lessened considerably but still exist. The other thing that helps is gentle massage. Sometimes the area would be too painful to touch, and sometimes massage did wonders. At a young age kids will react instantly so you can tell if it's a good or bad thing to do at that time. But for a child to feel his parent rubbing his neck is warming and comforting in other ways as well. Never underestimate the healing power of human touch! Good luck. It's a long hard road, but there is hope and progress if you stick with it! Arthur

Guest guest
Air hunger is a symptom of Babesia. I have babs but have not had this symptom. I don't think it's shortness of breath. More like you can't get enough air despite how deeply you breathe in. Babesia herbs include artemesinin or another one of its form artemesia annua (wormwood). I believe Quina by Nutramedix may also help. You have to build up the number of drops per day, starting at one drop, because you can herx from it. deb > > I have never heard of air hunger?? > Is that shortness of breath? > Could you tell me what herbals you used for that? > Thanks, > Dixie
Guest guest
Thanks Deb, I asked because of the breathing problem my hubby has, but he has a paralyzed diaphragm, which I have looked and looked online specifically for Lyme/Paralyzed Diaphragm and I finally found one. He has air hunger to, and has to be on a Bi Pap machine, so I would say if it gets bad, maybe check with your Doctor on that. It is horrible as is so many symptoms so many of you are having. I am too afraid to give him arteminisin because of the possible severe herx he might experience. I haven't heard of Quina, but I did hear that Burbur was good to. I started giving him Samento and he had no problems but now he started Flagyl along with the IV Azith, so I needed to make sure he could tolerate that. There just doesn't seem to be enough time in a day to get all the meds and supplements down!!! Especially cuz he has trouble taking pills. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a good day.
