Lyme and getting teeth cleaned-Thanks

Thank you , Deb and Ma Huang for sharing your advice about antibiotics

and getting your experience getting your teeth cleaned. This is very helpful and

solves the mystery about what happened last time my teeth were cleaned.

The dentist did finally listen to me today and prescribed 2 grams (4-500 mg

tablets of amoxicillin), to be taken 1 hour before my cleaning. I hope it is the

right antibiotic for the job. I guess I will take a day off the knotweed and red

root tincture while taking the amoxicillin in case of any possible

Remember to detox after the appt if you are doing amalgam work. This can

include binders like chlorella, activated charcoal, apple pectin, and even

cilantro (google cilantro pesto recipe for heavy metals). My dentist also told

me to take Vit C and Vit E for several days before and after my amalgam removal.

I am having the last 2 (of 5) amalgams removed this Friday!

I waited to get my amalgams removed until I was feeling better because some

people feel much worse after doing it. I know this is a little off topic from

dental cleanings but thought I'd share.

May not want to take Vit C the day of the procedure. I forgot about my dentists

recommendation to stay off it, took 1 g C/Salt a couple of hours before my appt,

and I had to be numbed up 3 or 4 times for a small filling, as my body kept

chugging through the carbocaine. Vit C helps your body metabolize numbing agents

VERY quickly!

Thanks , I had mentioned this in an earlier post about dental work but

good reminder - antioxidants interfere with local anesthetics.
