Thank you everyone! I am so grateful for so many of your answers, especially Liane for a very detailed one. I agree with all of you... Swamiji's statement seemed so unreasonable just because I admire the Yogi perception of the world, which includes the non-harming principle to all living creatures(humans, animals, plants)... And if a Yogi considers a plant so valuable or an animal too valuable to kill and eat, it just didn't make sense why they would consider any animal dirty. Actually the real question should've been why people in India consider dogs "dirty" and cows "holy" (thanks again Liane for an explanation on that). Besides feeling very warm in my e-Family LOL you also made me laugh. Thanks again beautiful Group!Love for all,
