Guest guest
My experience has been nearly the same as yours. I'd say working on getting rid of Babesia was the biggest help so far. I've used Arteminisin, wormwood tincture, and A-BAB (not at the same time, in sequence). My heart has improved quite a bit. I still can't go for long walks yet, but I rarely have palpitations and I can make it up a flight of stairs just fine now. The improvement took about 3-4 months. I also take Hawthorne and I do take some horomones to help the Adrenals, which I believe contributed to the heart problem as well. I take DHEA, Pregnenolone, and bio-identical Progesterone. I now seem to be having a lot of Bartonella symtems. I don't know if that means the Babesia is gone or just that my body has started to fight the Bartonella bug now. Best to you, Connie [ ] Heart symptoms - Anne Hi Anne! I've been in, and kind of live in the same boat, but I've learned to calm the symptoms. I'm so sorry for what you are going through. There is no worse feeling than your heart flipping out. I was a competitve runner for 20 years and can't exercise at all anymore from heart symptoms. My cardiologist says my heart looks fine, but it certainly is not. I have same symptoms you do also with shooting pain down my left arm and jaw when my heart symptoms are flaring. Guest guest
Connie, The way it was explained to me was that our progress is like peeling an onion. You work on one " bug " , fight it down, while another rears it's ugly head. For awhile, I only tested for erhlichia; then just Lyme again, and last December it was Lyme, erhlichia and babesia. So thanks for the arteminisin clue. I have done hawthorne with garlic for yrs and the wormwood on and off with CC. I can actually go for a walk now even up to an hr, but I'm junk for the next 12. Still feels good to do it tho! nancy _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Connie Blaze Sent: Monday, January 24, 2011 12:43 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Heart symptoms - Anne My experience has been nearly the same as yours. Guest guest
, what kind of bread do you make with no yeast? Would love to try it! _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Zundel Sent: Sunday, January 23, 2011 6:41 AM Subject: [ ] Heart symptoms - Anne Hi Anne! I have same symptoms you do also with shooting pain down my left arm and jaw when my heart symptoms are flaring. I don't know much about your diet, but I quickly checked the website you listed. Pancakes and fermented foods would kill me! 3 1/2 years ago when my heart symptoms began with a couple of mini-stroke type episodes, a holistic doc put me on a yeast free diet and I feel like it saved my life! I react instantly to anything with sugar, vinegar or yeast in it. If I have a glass of wine, I know I'm going to pay for it! It's hard to commit to but worth a try. I've followed this for over 3 years now and it really helps when I stick with it. It's easy to follow now too - I make my own bread once a week, cook healthy meals in bulk so it's not hard even though the rest of my family eats differently. If you would like more info please let me know and hang in there!
Guest guest
Connie, How do you know the difference between Babesia, Bartonella symptoms? They all blend for me along with viruses....EG: I have persisten cough...could be Babesia or a Virus... Jazzman [ ] Heart symptoms - Anne Hi Anne! Guest guest
My doctor seems to be pretty good at it. But, I've read: Bart More neuro symptoms Hot feet Eye problems Piercing headaches Babesia Heart problems Chest pain Shortness of breath Night sweats That's all I can remember right now. Guest guest
Hi and , Here are the things to AVOID with a yeast free diet... -Coffee -Alcohol -Sugar, stevia, Equal, corn syrup, evaporated cane juice, Splenda, sucralose, etc. -Vinegar and all vinegar products (mayo, mustard, salsa, dressings, etc). -All dairy including milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream (butter is OK) -Yeast in any form - beware it is hidden in some spices, broths and other places you wouldn't expect it! -Soy sauce and all fermented products like sauerkraut, and pickles. -Processed meats that contain sodium nitrites. Eat only hormone free meats. -Dried fruit and fresh bananas -Citric Acid (fermented, natural citric acid OK)  This is the basic no-no list that I follow for the most part. Some yeast free diets allow dairy and I have some in moderation. Some say no fruit at all, my doc said fruit in moderation, honey and pure maple syrup allowed in moderation as well. I weaned off sugar by using these substitutes but don't need or miss them anymore! Red meat is acid forming and not recommended so I stick with chicken, ground turkey, shrimp/fish. Lots of brown rice and other whole grains, vegies, beans, EGGS. There is a lot you CAN eat, but you will need to be a label reader! The book The Yeast Free Kitchen is a life saver for me. It has a ton of great recipes and info on products and the diseases you can help with this diet. The diet is anti-cancer, anti-inflamatory, etc. Really helps with all my Lyme symptoms esp. heart symptoms.  Bob's Red Mill (love these products) makes a gluten free baking mix. Here is the recipe I use for yeast, gluten AND dairy free bread...  4 cups Bob's baking mix 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. baking powder 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. xantham gum (optional, but recommended) flaxseed meal - optional  2 1/2 cups water (more may be needed) 3 tbsp. olive oil 1 1/2 tbsp honey 2 tbsp. lemon Mix dry than add wet ingreients just until blended. Pour into greased bread pan, brush top with olive oil and cover with foil. Bake at 400 degrees F for 1 hour. I haven't made a sandwich with it, but it's really good with almond butter or reg. butter. Enjoy!  .. _,___
Guest guest
Connie, do you have more specific info on 'eye problems?' I have progressively poor night vision (low light vision); otherwise my eyes are typical for my age. I take bilberry but have not noticed a marked effect. I also have had burning on the soles of my feet for years; even before getting lyme???? I've always wondered what it was. The only clue anyone had was diabetic nerves, but I don't have any tendency toward diabetis. I'm also wondering about the night sweats. I have 'sweats' any and all times of day and night. I treated for babesia heavily and am still having them some (though less). Wondering if its hormonal instead of babesia. Any ideas anyone? Thanks, jo > > > My doctor seems to be pretty good at it. Guest guest
Burning soles of feet could be a symptom of Bartonella. There is a bartonella group if you do a search. As for sweats, what did you treat Babs with? deb > > > > > > My doctor seems to be pretty good at it. Guest guest
Hi Connie, Have you had a positive diagnosis for Bart or just clinical symptoms? I wonder if I might have this too. My eyes really bother me on and off during the day but fairly consistently, like horrible eye strain. My vision can blur in one or both eyes. Doesn't last long. I'm afraid to get my eyes examined and be told I need new lenses because the vision is so inconsistent. Would love to get a follow up from you after you've tried the A-Bart. deb > > > Hi Jo, > > I have had pressure behind the eyes and swelling of the eye with sty like symptoms. I've heard others talk about blurry vision. My vision suddenly changed about 2 months ago when I had the extreme pressure and sty. I still have pressure fairly often. I'm just starting to treat for Bartonella. I'm picking up A-Bart from my doctor today. > > > Connie > > > > [ ] Re: Heart symptoms - Anne > > > > > Connie, do you have more specific info on 'eye problems?'
