Guest guest
Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone here ever broke out from a tick bite. I was bit by another tick a few month ago, could not have been on for too long, but made me itch like a really bad mosquito bite. Removed tick and applied neosporin, also took oral antibiotics for a week or so in addition to my regular herbal protocole. I did not get the bullseye, so maybe the tick did not have Lyme, or maybe I have enough immunity. I never got rid of the bite mark, it looks like a nasty infected pimple, almost like a boil and still itches a lot after weeks, month actually. Anyone else had any strange reactions to tick bites? My symptomas are still chronic (arthritis, neuro symptoms.fatigue, tremors etc etc.)did not get better or worse lately. Dagmar **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
I think I would have it checked out by a Doctor in case something got left in there. I sure don't think it should last THAT long. Jim. ### dlkh223@... wrote: Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone here ever broke out from a tick bite. Guest guest
Since the bite mark is still there and you indicate it looks infected, can you have a doc lance it and culture it to see what bug is there? -- [ ] Re:itchy ulcer from tickbite Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone here ever broke out from a tick bite. Guest guest
Hi, Dagmar. I have had the same reaction (red, inflammed, and initially hot lump) that you are describing from most of my tick bites (at least 12-15 times). They typically stayed extremely itchy for months. One on my back, at my waist, and another on my belly stayed that way for years. That back lump is gone now, but I still itch there occasionally. Only once did I actually get a bullseye rash, and then it was rather atypical. I am a tick-magnet! And seem to get sicker and sicker after almost every one of them. My husband, on the other hand, gets bites that hardly even leave a mark, and like me, he does have Lyme and Babesia. So, it may just be the way your body reacts to the bites of these beasts.........Good luck, Terri
