Guest guest
Sal - Wow, that looks like a great book. Thanks for sharing with ME! Have you already read up on the core protocol herbs recommended by Buhner? If you find other references for herbs to treat lyme, please let us know also. Looks like one to add eventually to my library too. Love, Jnanda > > Thank you for offering to pop over some sites, Jnanda. I would appreciate that if you remember and have to time. I want to share this book that I am finding quite informative and I think pretty thorough. Guest guest
Hey Jnanda, Oh good! It's very comprehensive. Yeah. I have his book. I am on meds at the moment for babesia and am having lymph nodes swell in my thighs and am thinking about red root. I am concerned about the coagulation effects and don't understand how that can be a good thing, though. I'm also taking Burbur and Pinella from nutramedix (Cowden Protocol) and wonder if I can take all or need to come off the Burbur or up my dosage instead. These swollen nodes are concerning me. And they are only in my thighs for some reason. Is that sometimes connected to Bartonella? Guest guest
Sal: Have you listened to 's CD put out this year? That will help you too. As I remember one herb thins a little as the other thickens a little, and he feels that they will compliment each other in that department. It is the total combination of Buhner's recommended herbs that counts. Not just one or two of them. I take anywhere from 7 to 10 or more of his herbs on any given day. They are a balance for MY symptoms. I take it you have studied his book? Jim. ### creekhopper@... wrote: I'm not on the core as of now. So I guess I need to research this? Guest guest
Not indepth. I was not aware of the CD. Thank you. I can see that this is not a hodge podge of herbals that fight lyme, et al... Thank you for the explanation. Sal -- http://lymeactivist.wordpress.com/. Jim >>Have you listened to 's CD put out this year? That will help you too. Guest guest
Sal: THe CD was excellent. It contains NEW info also. And yes, this is a very scientific study on what helps and what we need to feel better. He believes that we can live WITH the little critters, and not be sick. We have to have everything in harmony in our systems for this to happen. I don't follow my diet like I should, but do follow his herbal protocols as close as I can. And they sure have helped tremendously for me. I personally don't think you need parts of other protocols IF you follow Buhner's pretty closely. But I also feel you need a lot more of his extended herbs to make up a total protocol for YOU! Hope this helps you get on a good regimen. Jim. ### creekhopper@... wrote: Not indepth. Guest guest
Thanks, Jim. I didn't know he addressed more than Lyme in his CD, although I could see that from his site. I very much like the idea of creating harmony and am already weary of these antibiotics I am on. I was thinking to slowly add to as I am not ready to totally give up on antibiotics yet. But I am now not sure that is a good idea. On the other hand, it is very comforting to know I have options. I do have a question. I am dealling with candida. Do these herbs also destroy intestinal flora? Sal http://lymeactivist.wordpress.com/. -------------- Original message -------------- From: " R. Bayliss " <jbbigrod@...> Sal: THe CD was excellent. Guest guest
Hi Sal: He talks mostly about Lyme, but not totally. I don't blame you for being weary of abx. I don't know how you do it even. I did a couple months of it and just couldn't take another day of it, so went to herbs only back in Feb 2006. Sure am glad I did. I am not perfect by any means, but so much better than two years ago. Many times better. Everyone is different. But the abx are problems with candida. The proper herbal protocol will help with that problem too. I have only had trouble once and it wasn't real bad. Is Sal, for male or female? Hard for me to tell on some names. Take care, Jim. ### creekhopper@... wrote: Thanks, Jim. Guest guest
Well, I'm dealing with the candida now (and have been on abx for about 3 months), and don't like medications (although herbs are also meds) and I do not like feeling dependent on people for my well being. Needing help is one thing, but depending is another. So... thus I am here! Female: Sally Ann Thunder Ann. http://www.americanfolklore.net/folktales/tn4.html :-D My sister used mostly energy to heal herself (extreme case of dysautonomia with neuropathy, CFS, fibro, PAIN, loss of use of a leg, wildly swinging BP and so on), and I've seen the results. She also does not have Bb (or at least we think she doesn't). So, I'm not sure what I want or need for the long run. I am glad to hear you are better. Good news! Thanks, Jim. Guest guest
Thanks for the clarification of your name, Sally, so I kinda know who I am dealing with. The abx and nothing like herbs. Some herbs are quite strong, but those that Buhner recommends can be taken without supervision, usually, IF you follow his protocols. Just keep in mind that no two people are exactly alike and adjust accordingly IF necessary. One herb I used that I got in trouble with at first, was Coptis, but Buhner doesn't recommend that. I for the most part stick to his recommendations nowadays. Maybe hooking up with Selma on here would help too. She has been gone vacationing again, but is back now, so maybe she will read this. She has had candida problems also. So might be more help than me. I think as long as you are on abx though, you can have more problems with that. Take care, hope you find the answers fairly soon. I started getting better almost right away once I got off the abx in 2006. Always some setbacks, but made good progress most of the time. Guest guest
:-) Ok. That makes sense. It sounds like I should start following the protocol if I am going to do this, and then branch out from there carefully if I see the need to do so, which might not happen. My body will direct the way (I guess..), as evidenced by the candida problem.. Sheesh. This is good to hear. Thank you, Jim. Its also good to know there are others on the list that are dealing with dysautonomia and its quirky complications.
