Guest guest
Jeff, Thanks for sharing your story. It has boosted my spirits. I went 6+ years before diagnosis (in my case acute Lyme was under treated--only 2 wks of ABX for 2nd bite). Finished a full year of antibiotics, last 4 months IV Rocephin plus Biaxin. Never went into remission (did get better though) kept losing weight and getting more drowsy. LLMD decided I should not take anymore ABXs. I've put myself on Buhner's protocol (3 wks ago). Symptoms have been increasing, hoping it's a good sign. I wish I'd been able to take Buhner herbs while on ABXs but my LLMD was not comfortable with that, since he wouldn't know which treatment might be causing side effects or improvements. I'm taking measures to detox: lots of water, chlorella, lemon juice, epsom salt baths. Anyone else have a story of sustained improvement on Buhner's protocol? I'd love to hear from you. Getting kind of discouraged. Kim [ ] MOM now dx with Chronic Lyme Date: Monday, February 21, 2011, 1:44 PM I was dx with lyme about two months ago, had an episode in early December that I thought was the onset of MS. At that time my mom, who has been suffering for 12 years with multi-symptom issues, was reading my health journal and said that my symptoms where exactly what she has been experiencing. When I found out I had lyme disease my mom was able to put 2 and 2 together to 12 years ago being bit by a large amount of fleas from a dog who was infested with them...less than a month later she was sick and could not walk for a week. All that to say, she just got her reports back and her IGG and IGM are hot positive for chronic lyme, mine was just IGG no IGm. Anyway, any information on those that initally started out with chronic lyme. The suggestion from our texas llmd is to go to some docs up north that deal with chronic lyme and start IV therapy immediately. I am using abx with herbs and seem to be doing well....should we just focus on IV therapy and wait on herbal protocol? I don't want to overwhelm her as she is 56 years old and does not like change...this is going to be a hard one for her....prayers and advice is much needed.... Guest guest
Hi Kim, Â IÂ am on ABX for alost two years now plus Buhners for the last three months. It took me 1 1/2 years before i felt sutained improvement. I never expect to be as I was again, I believe there has been too much nerve and joint damage as atested to by MRI, but I do not expect to get worse or not be productive again.
