I don't want to overwhelm her as she is 56 years old and does not like change...this is going to be a hard one for her....prayers and advice is much needed.... There are no definitive answers for this, but IMHO IV therapy is only warranted for acute symptoms, e.g. people who have severe neurologic problems or ended up in a wheelchair because of neurolyme. For most of the other Lyme patients, oral ABX or herbs can be used just the same, and don't have the same risk (with IV there is always some risk because of PICC line infections etc.). Guest guest
I had undiagnosed chronic lyme for 10-12 years before being diagnosed. I had many neural issues. cognitive, balance, temperature regulating, paralysis, speech, neuropathic pain and more. i was advised to go on IV treatment, but I could not afford the treatment. I have been on oral ABX and now added Buhner and have done quite well. 90% of the issues have resolved. My case may be different from hers at 53 and male, but if you would like to reach out and talk directly please feel free.          Jeff,    From: herbsilly <jfeliciano@...> Subject: [ ] MOM now dx with Chronic Lyme Date: Monday, February 21, 2011, 1:44 PM  I was dx with lyme about two months ago, had an episode in early December that I thought was the onset of MS. At that time my mom, who has been suffering for 12 years with multi-symptom issues, was reading my health journal and said that my symptoms where exactly what she has been experiencing. When I found out I had lyme disease my mom was able to put 2 and 2 together to 12 years ago being bit by a large amount of fleas from a dog who was infested with them...less than a month later she was sick and could not walk for a week. All that to say, she just got her reports back and her IGG and IGM are hot positive for chronic lyme, mine was just IGG no IGm. Anyway, any information on those that initally started out with chronic lyme. The suggestion from our texas llmd is to go to some docs up north that deal with chronic lyme and start IV therapy immediately. I am using abx with herbs and seem to be doing well....should we just focus on IV therapy and wait on herbal protocol? I don't want to overwhelm her as she is 56 years old and does not like change...this is going to be a hard one for her....prayers and advice is much needed.... Guest guest
I have a free lyme resource computer Cd. It's contains a lot of the information I collected in the 3+ year fight to help my wife finally get her Chronic Lyme into remission. There are many different protocols that people use. Buhner, abx as you already know. Plus salt/c, rifing, colloidal silver and so on. All have sections on the CD. See my website to download or request a free copy. No charge for postage if its in US or Canada. www.lyme-resource.com You can lead a person to a fact, but you can't make them think! - > [ ] MOM now dx with Chronic Lyme > > I was dx with lyme about two months ago, had an episode in > early December that I thought was the onset of MS.
