usually not; with a mold, part of it will be inside the berry. And with berries,

probably anything that destroys mold destroys the berry first, they are fragile

....

I check berries visually after purchase, discard the ones that look suspicious,

give them a quick rinse and then freeze them. I don't think there is any problem

this way, if you thaw them shortly before use.

when you buy fresh berries with the intent to freeze. you just look through

them, wash and then freeze? how long can you freeze them? when i don't buy

organic i use the veggie was, is that ok to use and the freeze them?

many weeks I guess, I don't think much happens in the freeze (mine is minus 18

Celcius).

you can 'clean' them with a quick wash to remove dirt etc (usually not an issue

where I live), but a lot of other stuff like pesticide residue cannot be removed

with washing, because some of it is inside. Not much you can do about it.

Here too one shouldn't get paranoid, there is toxins in drinking or showering

water, in the air, in floors you walk on etc. It is impossible to avoid it. Even

'organic' products have chemical toxins inside, only less and different ones (on

average) than then non-organic ones. Organic sometimes just means that the

farmers don't yet know how to use pesticides, or don't have the money to buy

them...
