You forgot to state WHICH herbs you are going to use.

Hi everyone!

Been lurking, learning, reading the book and now I'm ready to go. I

have a question or two before I get started. I'm on a waiting list to

see my LLMD but she did suggest I go ahead and get started detoxing.

And I am going to go ahead with the Buhner protocol - no sense waiting.

Should I start detoxing before I start the core protocol or can I go

ahead and then start adding in some detox herbs while on the core

protocol? I'm not on any abx and haven't been in many years - never was

for Lyme, just things like chronic sinusitis, uti's, etc.

I've jotted down some herbs for detoxing. Are there certain protocols

recommended for this or do we all just start off slow and take it as we

can as with the killing off of bacteria?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi ,

I'm glad you're here and are starting the protocol.

You'll find a lot of info here re detoxing, search the archives, or

wait til someone I'm sure will answer your post.

I want to address that you mentioned taking abx for chronic sinusitis

and to tell you I cured myself of debilitating chronic sinusitis that

I had for years with a supercharged form of echinacae called Esberitox.

I'm not selling this product or anything, but I'm so grateful it cured

my sinusitis, I never had it again after I started taking it, so I

always tell people about it.

If you want more info- e-mail me off list.

I wish you complete healing.

Hi Ellen,

For some reason the thought of searching the archives for something seemingly

vague like detox and core protocol felt so overwhelming the other day, lol. But

I searched this morning and I think I found what I need. Although I'm still open

to any added advice.

I think it was you that mentioned Esberitox recently for sinusitis and I've

already added it to my list of things to try soon... real soon.

Thanks for the tips!

Hi Jim,

I actually didn't know which herbs I was going to take, at least as far as the

detoxing goes. I have a list of herbs but I'm not really sure what I need. I'm

going to start with the basic core protocol and smilax (no astragalus), but

didn't know if I should add any extra herbs along with it for detox purposes. I

think I'm just going to start with one thing at a time and figure it out as I

go, but like I said, I welcome any suggestions :)

I'm sort of shooting in the dark here as far as what I might need detoxing

for. I plan to see a local naturopath to be tested for various things; metals,

fungus, etc., but just can't afford it right now. I'm tired of waiting for my

appt with LLMD and really want to get started with this, so...

Thanks!

Tiffiny,

I know what you mean. Just doing something like that can be overwhelming.

I myself have not done detoxing, so can't say, but I know it has been

a big topic on here.

Hope you find what you need.

Tiff,

do a search for " chlorella " for a lot of messages re cholorella, also

re detoxing in general.

also search under author " Selmanaka " to find her very informative

posts re detoxing.

Not having your original post in front of me anymore, I can't say too much now

either. But I would definitely add to the CORE protocol, Milk Thistle and Red

Root tincture to support your liver and the rest of your Lymph System. As to

what other herbs to add, it would depend on whether your symptoms are neural or

arthritic, asthma, or what?

Need more info. You can also look it up in the Healing Lyme book, under what

symptoms YOU have.

Jim,

My sx's are mostly neuro, with joint and muscle pain. I'll look back thorugh

the book to see what I'll need to add.

Thanks, I appreciate your input!

Sounds like your symptoms are about the same as mine were. I still have some of

them but to a much lesser degree. Livable. I have posted my protocols several

times in the past on LymeNet, so you can maybe find them there, I have have even

once or twice here.
