Guest guest
One idea: Have you had a 24 hour urine collection test for free cortisol? Josie
Guest guest
Hi Pam, I have been on this list for awhile, but I usually don't post. I have a couple of thoughts about your situation. Your cortisol levels may be off and you may be spiking at night. Try some seriphos (phos. serine) about an hour before going to bed. It may help to bring your levels in balance. Also cortisol imbalances can make you hypoglycemic in the middle of the night. It can cause severe panic/ anxiety and interfere with sleep. I would have a small protein based snack near bedtime. I also use chromium to help stabilize my sugar levels. Other adrenal supportive herbs are ashwaganda, eleuthero, and cordyceps. I use 1000 milligrams of ornithine at night. It helps to process ammonia that is often given off from the lyme. Ornithine can help sleep as well. I also take 500 mg of L-tryptophan to help with sleep. Dr has a good adrenal program. So does Dr. Rind. You can google them both. Try to go to sleep by ten(oaky stop laughing) and keep off of the computer at least 2 hours before bed. The same goes for news watching or violent TV. I would also check your sleep space. Are you in a room with a lot of EMF's? Phones, alarm clocks, computers, and TV's can all interfere with sleep and cause anxiety. Hope some of this helps. Let me know how it goes. Good luck, Peggy P.S. Gallbladder issues can also cause anxiety and sleep interference. Do you have any issues with that? Just a thought.
