Guest guest
Since I can't taste what it tastes like in the capsules, I don't know IF there really is any difference. ALL of MY Sarsaparilla comes from Mexico. It should be fine. Just don't get the stuff from India. It is even cheaper, but is adulterated. I opened it and it tasted different from what I had before so I checked and discoverd that it is sarsaparilla medica from mexico. That species is not mentioned in Healing Lyme. Does anyone know if it has the same properties? I don't trust that its as good as what I had before (for what we want it for). It certainly does not taste as good. I quite enjoyed the taste of the last batch, which I put on food or in drinks. jo __________________________________________________

'cut and sifted' is usually for making tea (and decoctions?). I think most people use the bulk powder that is capsuled, or possibly taking as a paste with some water (see emails about pills etc. from earlier this week). > how do i know what 425-500 mg capsules would be like? when buhner says start at the lower dose and increase in increments every seven days, does he mean start at 425 mg? that seems high. does anyone have suggestions about a starting dose? For most Buhner herbs starting dose is 400-500mg, 3-4x each day. this is about one 00 gelatin capsule, losely filled with powder (if you will it very well you will get nearly double the dose inside). There are many types of capsules, I think 00 and 0 (smaller) are most common for herbs. > but as we are now relaxing on the abx, the buggers are returning and i know that we cant go on the abx forever and i think they are just encysting... lying in wait for a stressful moment. i had them on the protocol, but the number of pills was just too much for them. so we went to the abx. now, however it seems we are starting over again. for many chronic lymies ABX is not a final solution; when you stop it most of the problems return; I had the same experience. I prefer swallowing the pills (although I hate that many pills ...) to the damage caused by ABX. I simply couldn't take it any longer after 1 year, but I also know people who have no problem at all with their ABX regimen. my guess is that cysting mostly occurs when you 'stress' the bugs, so maybe with Buhner herbs it is less of a problem. Maybe they gradually disappear, or become less aggressive (but I don't think you will completely get rid of them unless you are very lucky).
