Guest guest
Just to add in another aspect. There is a link to High Cholesterol when there are Hypothyroid imbalances. If the thyroid is under functioning, the body makes fat much more quickly than it is burned which increases these blood indicators. Also, if the liver & gallbadder are more sluggish & congested which also is common in hypo(low) Thyroid the fat is not as easily metabolized and cleared from the body. Cells may be less receptive to taking up the LDL (bad cholesterol) so that too much accumulates. Also, the liver one of the places that the Thyroid hormone T3 is converted to T4 into a usable form for the body. So it can create a vicious cycle where it stymies liver function so that fewer hormones become active.

Guest guest
That makes sense, so now how to get off the merry-go-round. I just got some blood work done and the doc said everything is fine, but I noticed some of the results were high and low of normal. Don't know how to interpret it.
