A new baby and a sad story

A new baby was born into my family about a week ago. She weighed 3 lbs and had an iron deficiency and a problem with her hip that the hospital thinks can be corrected with short term physical therapy. As with so many babies this one was born of a mother who cared little for the life that was growing inside of her. She sought no prenatal care so took no prenatal vitamins. She was given several opportunities to do so. It is amazing that the baby is a healthy as she is. I would like to ask you to pray for this little one and also for my niece who is the mother. My niece needs prayers because she must come to the realization that she cannot keep bringing babies into the world when she cannot take care of them. The baby goes into foster care today and we can only pray that all of her needs will be met and that she will eventually be adopted by someone who will love her for the rest of her life. As heartbreaking as this is for us to allow this baby to go into foster care, we have to take a stand or my niece will be dropping babies on our doorstep every year. This is her second child and my sister, her mother, is already raising the first one.
