How to know how much bulk herb dosage?

My first posting to this site, which I just joined. After 5 years of Lyme

Disease treatment, my new doctor (in Indiana) has prescribed herbs from Dr.

Buehner's protocol. Because of my low income, she said it would be ok to use

bulk herbs. I notice in the book I have by Buehner, I don't see anything but

capsules talked about, which are very expensive. How do I know if I'm taking the

right amount of bulk herbs?

I appreciate any help anyone can be about this! I'm looking forward to reading
