Guest guest
, borrelia can also affect muscles and certainly can cause numbness and weaknesses all over. I got very strange rashes now, that looked like simple allergy (pinkish), nothing like EM rash I had (deep blue or violet color). And I'm pretty sure it's borrelia. Bart rashes I had were with stripes, quite clear, like if there's a worm inside your skin. As for your question of targetting one pathogen with one herb, in my opinion is an incorrect way of seeing herbal treatments. For borrelia, see what Buhner recommends, a combo. Herbs are not like drugs. They work better in combo. That's Buhner's opinion (can't remember though where he stated that), and I totally agree. At least, that's how it worked for me, only combo works. For all tick born pathogens, bart and babesia especially. Artemisia annua can target borrelia too (it's in Buhner's book). Andrographis is a good anti viral too. If you would like to narrow down and take only what your body needs, my only advice is energetic testing, done every month minimum. Best would be every week though. Co-infections symptoms don't cross over with borrelia symptoms a bit. They TOTALLY cross over with borrelia symptoms. If you even look at other infections, like intestinal candida that many lyme sufferers have, you start to wonder if sympotms listed there are much different from borrelia. They cross a lot. Fungi can even live in joints and cause joint pain! If you don't have access to energetic tests, it's a game of guessing. Trial and error. I would stick at least to Buhner's advice, then add bits of other herbs... Choosing just one herb from the core protocol will do very little for borrelia, in my opinion. Same goes for other tick born pathogens. Even with antibiotics, people usually take combos. Guest guest
Ok, that makes perfect sense. I'm not surprised by your answer. I read the book, but it was all new. I'm going back and reading it again, but my attention span is pretty small right now. I do see a naturopath who does muscle testing. She has a couple of little vials that she's used, but I think they're general - like viral or bacterial or fungus - to narrow it down. It's not specific organisms or specific energy. It has helped a lot, but I can't afford to go see her right now and something has changed since I saw her three weeks ago. I'm trying to figure out how I can treat myself until I can afford another visit. It helps to know that I probably won't figure it out this way. I'm so thankful for this practitioner that I'm seeing. I'll go back asap. For now, we're probably ok doing what we're doing. Thanks! > > , borrelia can also affect muscles and certainly can cause > numbness and weaknesses all over. Guest guest
THe blood tests are not conclusive anyway. & nbsp; THe symptoms and being bitten and a rash is enough to know you have the/a disease. & nbsp; & nbsp; I have had the aching symptoms, and those are certainly Lyme symptoms, but like you said some of the symptoms can be from either/or, so it is hard to tell. & nbsp; It is recommended that if you think you have Babesia that you make sure to work on that first. & nbsp; However, I would work on Lyme with herba at the same time. & nbsp; Not much else I can say at this time. & nbsp; & nbsp; You do need to do something ASAP. & nbsp; THat is a long time to go without treating. & nbsp; Gives them a big foothold and those symptoms can be lifelong if not caught early. & nbsp; Jim. ### From: mostap2003 & lt;mostapleton@... & gt; Subject: [ ] Babesia, Bartonella Date: Thursday, June 5, 2008, 2:11 PM Hi, I have not been tested at all, but I did get the rash and many other symptoms within a couple of weeks of getting bit in 2005. Was on doxy for ten days and then thought I was ok until a year later. Typical story. I can not afford tests right now and so I have to guess at what I'm dealing with. I figured out by some symptoms and responses I've had to Wormwood that I've got Babesia. But another symptom that is coming on more strongly lately is an ache in my legs - both thighs - that also makes my legs weak. It becomes a chore to go upstairs, which I do all day long. I also get that lack of oxygen feeling in my muscles and have to yawn a lot after walking any distance. I read in Healing Lyme that Bartonella makes you feel weak. Has anyone else has this symptom? Are there any other clues I can look for to narrow this down. I don't really want to randomly try herbs without some idea that I'm aiming right. I wish I could go get all the tests done, but I just can't. I need to spend what little money we have on actual treatment right now. It's been fairly easy for me to tell what's happening by how I react to each herb taken and by what my symptoms are, but the coinfections cross over with symptoms a bit. Thanks for any input you can help me with.
Guest guest
I've been doing salt/c and some small amounts of herbs since February. The salt/c helps keep me mostly functioning. I was reading " Healing Lyme " again today - the section on Bartonella. It seems like he's saying that you have to have longterm antibiotics for bart. The herbs are supplementary. Did I get that right? I saw some pictures of Bart marks and I couldn't believe it. My husband was a construction worker for ten years and mostly put in joists working under his feet all day with big beams. He has stretch marks all down his back that look exactly like the pictures. We always thought it was from work, but he got them about the same time he was diagnosed with CFS in his late 20s. He also has a blister on one of his retinas that nobody has every been able to figure out - its inoperable because it's directly in front of his retina. Does this sound like Bart? I'm wondering now if we've been dealing with bart for 20 years! This is a new thought to me. So I really would like to know if antibiotics are necessary. I really hate the idea of antibiotics. They've done so much damage to me and my daughter in the past. I'm trying very hard to avoid them. Has anyone positively overcome Bart, if so, how? I could really use a positive testimonial right now. Thanks, > > From: mostap2003 mostapleton@... > Subject: [ ] Babesia, Bartonella > > Date: Thursday, June 5, 2008, 2:11 PM > > > > > > > Hi, > > I have not been tested at all, but I did get the rash and many other > symptoms within a couple of weeks of getting bit in 2005. Guest guest
, as far as I know I have not had Bartonella. & nbsp; At least not the symptoms you are talking about. & nbsp; Hopefully someone here can help you better. & nbsp; Sorry. Jim. ### From: mostap2003 & lt;mostapleton@... & gt; Subject: [ ] Re: Babesia, Bartonella Date: Friday, June 6, 2008, 4:16 PM I've been doing salt/c and some small amounts of herbs since February.
