Guest guest
I just received my shipment from 1st Chinese Herbs but I'm a little hazy on measuring. If I fill the '00' caps, basically will I have approximately the correct amounts to take? Thanks, bf
Guest guest
Yes, be sure to use the tamper two or three times or more on some herbs to make sure they are packed tight. Buhner recommends the 00 size caps. I wrote him personally on this two years ago. Guest guest
Thanks Jim - I've just noticed that there is no 'tamper'. The box says it's " sold separately " . Wish I had known this! I didn't know there was an extra tool needed. Not sure I can get one of these locally. Any suggestions of what I can use to pack them down with meantime until I can order one??? bf Re: [ ] Herb Measurement Yes, be sure to use the tamper two or three times or more on some herbs to make sure they are packed tight. Guest guest
Barb: WHAT???????? What kind of machine you got anyway. " The Capsule Machine " always has the tamper as part of the system. I have four of them. The capsule machine sells for about $14 at WonderLabs.com. It is just slightly higher at StarWest Botanicals. I have no idea where to get one otherwise. I bought another machine one time, forget the name of it; and it didn't have all the stuff with it either, so I have never used it. Was just a waste of my money. It made 50 at a time instead of 24. I like the size of this Capsule Machine much better. Jim. ### Barbara <brfifield@...> wrote: Thanks Jim - I've just noticed that there is no 'tamper'. The box says it's " sold separately " . Guest guest
Hi Jim, They didn't have 'The Capsule Machine' at 1st Chinese, Raintree or iherb which is where I ordered all of the herbs from. 1st Chinese and iherb have Cap Em Quick so I ordered that one. But no where on the sites do they say you need an additional tool. Nor did anyone that I spoke to mention it. So I'm now without. I'll try calling around locally tomorrow when the stores are open and see if there is anything around I can use for now. Thanks Jim, Barbara Re: [ ] Herb Measurement Barb: WHAT???????? Guest guest
Sorry to hear that Barb. I didn't even know that 1st Chinese sold any machines. I think that is the machine that I bought also that I never used, the Cap Em Quick. Best to just order on of The Capsule Machines from either Wonderlabs.com or from StarWest Botanicals. I think they are withing a dollar or so from each other on price. I get ALL my capsules from WonderLabs also. They have the best price I have found. Hope you find something soon.
