Guest guest
, Yes, it is thyroid related as well as all these drugs we are forced to take. One of the worst for me was diflucan for yeast. So I cut way back on it like 1 every 2-3 weeks and did my nystatin religiously daily. The person that has cut my hair for many years, and now colors all the gray has watched me all these 7 yrs and can tell the best. Antibiotics and drugs of all kind are found in the hair shaft. I am doing better now only on omnicef and nystatin but i also recommend you look into Thymus hair products. They are pricey but have helped too. Take care, Bev

Guest guest
With the hair you are losing, does it have the " bulb " still attached on the end of it? I knew a person who this was happening to (hairdresser w/lyme) who went to a hair doctor for this. It was something different than thyroid disease. Cant remember, but maybe a autoimmune problem. She had to wash her hair with special shampoo and other stuff. I think it quit after a while. I had never seen the " blub " still attached before. walyme <walyme@...> wrote: For the past several months I am just loosing tons of hair. Plus the texture of my hair is getting weaker - very fine. Guest guest
My hair loss was hormone related. I balanced out my hormones and the hair loss stopped (and so did my chocolate cravings!). Guest guest
How old are you? (Don't have to answer!) Hair texture/thickness changes as we get older. Usually gets thinner and finer except gray hairs are usually coarser. Also, normal hair loss is about 100 hairs per day average with 200 or so on shampoo days. Much more than that could be some other cause. Guest guest
You can take more D-3 I am taking 10,000 a day and wife taking 15,000 a day. Check your 25 oh test it should be between 60 and 70. Mine went to 110 because I went outside to the ocean for two weeks and it went to 110 so I cut back to 5,000 a day till the 25 oh dropped. My wife never got over 46 on the 25 oh test taking 15,000 a day. You can take 100,000 a day for short periods of time. -- " The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the greatest liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.
