Guest guest
Well, you don't take a tincture just as it comes out of the bottle first of all. You MIX IT with water OR juice. I mix my half dropper full of each tincture into one half glass of water and one half glass of juice. It tastes great no matter what the tincture itself tastes like. Are you allergic to alcohol? If not don't get rid of it. IF you are you can put it in to hot water and let cool for about 15 to 20 minutes and that should evaporate most of the alcohol. What can I do to rid the alcohol and sweeten the taste without affecting the herb strength? I imagine I could add some boiling water to my teaspoon dose and let the alchol evaporate some. Do you think it will affect the strength of the herb? I know that sometimes things have to be in raw form in order to keep potency. Heidi N --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Heidi, If the taste is the problem rather than the alcohol, the suggestions for using it with something else (juice, chocolate, etc) might help. For me, the issue is that I'm allergic to alcohol so I pour hot water over it and let it sit a few minutes. That does not eliminate the taste. I hope you will share your experiences with cryptolepsis. I have tried it 3 times and it knocked me on my butt!! I started with a few drops, rather than the teaspoon Buhner recommends. I will try again as I get stronger in the spring/summer. I'm very interested in others' experiences with cryptolepsis; how long taken, side effects, how it worked for you, and any other experiences. Best wishes with it, jo > I just got my cryptolepsis tincture and gave it a taste test. Its just > awful. What can I do to rid the alcohol and sweeten the taste without > affecting the herb strength?
