I don't know anyone in my country who has this. Maybe I should check again if there are better/other Bartonella tests available (previous two negative Bart tests were both from the lab in Cologne, that has a good reputation for tickborne infection diagnosis). > The spiros like to hide in the jaw on some people, I'm one of those lucky > one's. I had a root canal about 5 years ago (with nothing visible on X-rays). I already had obvious lyme symptoms then like shooting pains (radiculitis), but the root canal really got things started. (I know very little about Bart ...). > I believe every > step I've taken along the way has helped in some way, but I can't seem to > get over the hump and get to that 80 or 90% recovery rate that people talk > about. same story here. I think everyone has clostridium diff., but in some persons it tends to get out of control easily. Probably related to the 'microbiome' (bacterial population in the gut etc.) or immune system. For me ABX is now also for when I'm really desperate, because of the side effects. I haven't used them for 3.5 years. Trouble is, there are so many things that are wrong that you don't know where to start > I'd love to know how to block the QS so the little buggers can't > communicate anymore and die! we need a lot more research there, e.g. we still don't know for sure if Borrelia uses QS (it has all the machinery to use it, so why not ...). Several of the tick coinfections use QS (which means they could reinforce each other). For the moment the only option is using QS blockers like garlic and andrographis to 'silence' the bugs and possibly disrupt their communications and biofilm protection. But we don't know what treatment would work (dose, duration etc.). Although it doesn't directly kill, QS can also disrupt friendly bacteria e.g. in the gut or skin, so you still have to be cautious. I think that in ten years or so we will know a lot more about QS, and be able to use more targeted communications for specific bacteria. That will probably prove that a lot of the old herbal wisdom has a solid foundation that science has just started to discover The Chinese are really starting to pick up this type of research so I'm hopefull (they are very open about Lyme, and not under the IDSA spell like researchers in US and most of Europe).
