Guest guest
Thanks Bee and Zack. I guess this one I'm going to have to figure out. If I take raw garlic, I just am too self conscious about it. *sigh* > > > > > > > But what about the eating the raw garlic which of course is best? I > > guess there's no way around it, huh? Guest guest
I have been told you should not eat any sprout thats in the center (they are light green) or you will " smell " . Ive also been told that if you eat enough of it you wont smell anymore. The latter came from my eagle scout son.....who used garlic for skeeter repelant - for what its worth. Personally, at 46, and married mom of 6 in the country....there are alot worse smells than good ol garlic )
Guest guest
Funny Dona, lol. But I'm single and live in the city.....come to think of it, I guess there are a lot worse smells here too! Maybe I'd blend right in, lol. > > I have been told you should not eat any sprout thats in the center > (they are light green) or you will " smell " . > > Ive also been told that if you eat enough of it you wont smell > anymore. Guest guest
I really cannot stand the taste of garlic. The only way I can get it down is to cut it into little bits (I can't get it down if I crush it). Then, a few bits at a time, stick them in the back of your tongue and swallow them with water. Cheers. -Sonya

Guest guest
why do you believe i have a week immune system, i mean i did eat the garlic on an empty stomach. and about lifestyle change, well i dont have one. i do believe my immune system must be shot by now since i had candida over 11 years.but anyway after 20 min. of eating the garlic all the pain went away and i started to actually feel good in all my parts of my body. i will definitly continue eating garlic. thanks. lonely and scared
Guest guest
Food allergies can be pretty bad. If I eat onions (raw are much worse) I get blisters in my mouth then my stomach and intestines hurt for days. Too much garlic also does the same thing for me especially raw. > > hi, > i just ate fresh garlic and my stomach is hurting me so much and burning, and > i have a headache now. i am glad that this stuff is so powerful, but will the > side effects decrease. what would be the reason for such pain though. > > >
Guest guest
Eat the fresh garlic with food, not on the empty stomach (with a steak, for instance). Eat as much as you can bear, not a big quantity now and none tomorrow. The question is: do you want to get rid of candida? If you want to get rid of candida, you must eat garlic on a daily basis. At least that's what I've done for one month and a half. You can also take garlic suplements which won't make your stoach suffer so much probably (I don't know if they can replace the fresh garlic though, as I combines the two - breakfast, dinner: capsules, evening - fresh garlic with a steak). You must also change something in your lifestyle, something that you believe that weakened your immune system. ~Vera > > hi, > i just ate fresh garlic and my stomach is hurting me so much and burning, and > i have a headache now. i am glad that this stuff is so powerful, but will the > side effects decrease. what would be the reason for such pain though. > > >

Guest guest
Sounds like severe die-off of bad guys in your GI tract causing " traffic congestion. " You may have killed too many at once. Are you taking fiber and probiotics? Ken -- [ ] garlic I have ramped up my garlic consumption this week. I have eaten about 6- 8 cloves per day. I did not eat them raw, but I added them at the last minute to sauteed vegetables, and I know the garlic just got warmed through. I have had really bad bloating and edema since then. Could the new garlic I have added contribute to my problems? I also have a burning sensation in my gut. It feels tight and I cannot totally evacuate my bowel as I have been doing prior to this week. Guest guest
Yes, I agree with Ken that you may have killed off a lot of stuff at once. That happened to me this year when I started to eat raw garlic. Before adding the raw garlic, I was having very good, well-formed, regular bowel movements. After the garlic, I got bloated and the bowel movements practically came to a standstill. I had to do enemas to get things going again, but the stuff I saw come out. . . Ick! After that experience, I now believe what Jensen and others have written that just because you're having what looks like good bowel movements, doesn't mean that stuff isn't still getting hung up in there. The other thing that amazed me about it is I've been very careful with my diet now for the past 6 years. I thought surely I'm pretty clean inside. I was obviously wrong. Enemas and/or colonics might help you clear up the congestion. --- Ken <crapmail@...> wrote: --------------------------------- Sounds like severe die-off of bad guys in your GI tract causing " traffic congestion. Squeeze it with the garlic press, use the flat part of the knife... Isn't just chewing the whole (or sliced) clove enough? Technically, it does get crushed in the mouth, or not? Guest guest
I guess you could do it either way, but I use a garlic press. That way I can mix it up with whatever food I'm eating. I find that the garlic stings my mouth too much if I just chew it whole. Marla OK, maybe this sounds stupid, but how do you actually crush it? Hi Jasmina, no need to overthink this...all of those ways will crush a garlic clove. Do what works for you. Personally I use the flat of a knife. The reason to crush it is to start the release of the allicin-the beneficial part of the garlic. see this website for more info on allicin: http://www.garlic-central.com/allicin.html jackie

Guest guest
I chop it, crush it in garlic press, mix with Tbsp olive oil & drink it down or off spoon. Mixed in salad with olive oil, salt, lemon dressing is good way too. From: " marla " >I guess you could do it either way, but I use a garlic press. What do you all do about the smell? ==>Like Zack said the certified organic garlic doesn't create as much odor on your breath - I found the tiny purple garlic was best. Suz suggested parsley, but you can also chew on fennel seeds, which might be easier to carry with you in a little container. Or you can take Kyolic Garlic to avoid the smell altogether - take according to directions on the bottle. > Also, would eating small amounts of fresh coconut be OK, along with > the coconut oil? Dr. Mercola highly recommends fresh coconut. ==>Fresh coconut contains too much sugar for candida. Bee

My history with bleeding is that when i was 14 ( a long time ago) i had a platlet defiency and was hospitalized for 3 weeks until i bulit up platlets. This is where i took cortisone for 6 months. If garlic is a blood thinner im not too sure what effect it will have on me. And with my ulcer would that be a problem? My cycle is ending so would taking garlic be something i should look into adding at this point or not. I still have dieoff from just the diet. ==>Maybe do not take garlic for now, but do start bioflavonoids 3 days be you expect your next cycle, as I wrote about previously - it will help the bleeding a lot. > > Also maybe you can help me understand why my heart races some of the time and at other times its ok. My gyno says its connected to fears and anxieties and its comes from a thought pattern that i need to break, which makes sense. I have problems with the kids leaving the house to go away to college. Last august i had the same problem only it really didnt got away it just got better at times. A thought can actually create this racing action and i need to figure out how to deal with it. ==>Anxiety can certainly cause a racing heart, as well as low adrenals and other malfunctions throughout the body caused by candida. The best help is to do the Breathing exercises in the files, and also to do dry skin brushing and coffee enemas to help the adrenals and liver - there are files on Dry Skin Brushing and Enemas. Guest guest
==>No, because any garlic loses its most important qualities when cooked or roasted, however it still retains its sulphur, which is one of 7 macrominerals required by the body. But making the tea and putting the garlic in the boiling water is okay right? I have been having two cups of the tea a day with 2 cloves of garlic and then having 2 to 3 other cloves crushed with my meals. ==>I believe that for men the healing affects of this program help lessen their bathroom trips more than women because toxins migrate to the prostrate. Guest guest
> > doesn't garlic kill the good bacteria and counter act probiotics? ==>No, Les, garlic does not kill good bacteria nor does it counteract any probiotics. If that were true the Italians and Russians would have died out eons ago due to candida caused by their large amount of garlic intake! LOL! Les, remember that there is a lot propaganda against nature-made foods, herbs & spices and there's tons of false ideas, lies and deception too, not justa about foods. Guest guest
> > Hi Bee! > I know that garlic is a good candida fighting food. But whenever I eat garlic (foods containing garlic), I get awful pains in my stomach. I have therefore stayed away from garlic. Should I continue to avoid garlic?? ==> SG, the reason you get stomach pains from garlic is because it kills off candida which also resides in your stomach. The way to handle it is to always have garlic with proteins and good fats, and also start with small amounts and only gradually increase them to minimize die-off symptoms (only increase the amount every 4-5 days or longer). Even starting with 1/4 of a medium garlic or less is better than not having it at all. Garlic provides many healthful benefits besides fighting candida. The best, Bee
Guest guest
The reason why you get the awful pains is because the candida are dying and causing the pains. That's a good thing definitely. So you might want to continue with the garlic, just use tiny amounts and build up slowly.
