Guest guest
I've had complications w/root canals over the years due to my Lyme disease and wanted to share what worked for me. I can no longer have Lidocaine w/epi; it effects me terribly, caused CNS problems, anxious, jittery, problems walking afterwards, brain fog, heart pounding, etc., I now use Carbocaine, it takes a little longer to numb you, but it's worth it, no side effects, the dr's can wait an extra 10/15 min's! Root canal fillings; most dentists want to use gutta percha (very dangerous), it's cheaper for them, but not healthy for us. I had side effects from it, had the tooth redone w/Resilon and no reactions. Gutta percha root canals are VERY DANGEROUS and lead to heart cavity lining inflammation, prostatitis, prostate cancer, liver problems and intestinal permeability, just to name a few! I had reactions to gutta percha (had a biocompatibility test done, and Resilon was ok for me), I found a endodontist that said lots of people were having reactions over the years, so he switched to: Resilon/epiphany root canal sealer (soft resin fill). I don't take abx's before dental work, but I do gargle w/good mouth wash, before and after the treatments. When I get home I take vit c, don't take it before having dental work, it takes longer to get numbed up. And I am wanting to do the right antibiotic. Unfortunately the dentist isn't that familiar with Lyme. I have not taken any antibiotics for lyme. I have treated with herbs, homeopathy and IMT. I am looking to take antibiotics before and after getting my root canal retreated because I think it is an opportunity to get at bacteria that will be exposed by the treatment. The dentist will also be doing an ozone treatment. I had some ozone injected into the area of the affected tooth and had a herx that evening of vertigo and head pressure. Most likely erlichia. Any advice on what kind of antibiotic to request. I don't do well in general with antibiotics, but seem to do OK with amoxicillan. That is what I am thinking of doing, but wanted to get advice of others here. Thanks in advance for any advice. Dee > > > Is there a list of lyme literate dentists?
