OT: pets n fleas ?'s

Does anyone know anyway to treat pets besides using frontline? Frontline

kills only what is on the pet at the moment (they can later pick up new

fleas and ticks). I've heard of DE dianthamus sp? earth. Has anyone used

this on their pets, and if so, how do you use it, is it put on them daily

topically, or do you sprinkle it in their food?

I've even heard that people ingest it as well, is this to kill parasites?
