At the age of 21 I feel these qualities slowly slipping away. What are some things I can do to improve spiritually in my everyday routine? Since I know nothing about Reiki should I start there or where should I begin my spiritual journey?
Guest guest
Hello sweetie. Everyone's spiritual journey is different because it's so very personal. If you're at the point of asking where you should begin your spiritual journey then you're already on it, whether you feel it slipping away to youth or not. Spirituality isn't just about religious practice. It's practice in everyday life and the challenges life brings. I would probably look into meditation as a great beginning exercise. Regular practice of meditation will help ground you, center you, expand your mindfulness to understand your overall impact, and help to strengthen your concentration. Plus a bunch of other positives like stress relief. Always good. If you're interested in learning a healing modality, Reiki is a beautiful practice. However you need to do what calls to you or what you feel very strongly about or interested in. We have a ton of reading and priceless information in the files section. If you have any questions then ask away! We're all here to help each other out. Guest guest
As a matter of being here now, in your life, living in this moment, you are already within your journey. Like going to the store for milk, you set out walking, and along the way you start kicking a can, and get lost in the activity. And lost there, you seem to forget why you set out in the first place, and further still, you discover you noticed a ball game going on and became side tracked even more. The fact is, while you did forget, or better put, lost focus, you are having fun, perhaps learning useful things in the process. Things you will soon discover needed to " play out " first, before the next step could be taken. In the getting lost, or losing focus along the " way " , of this journey, you discovered something you loved to do...Now, being able to speak from the " heart " about that which you love, playing ball. You remember at that moment what you sat out to do, and you rush to get the milk and head home.... all the while, your journey has become " your life " . You realize why you came to this life, in this case, to live and play ball. Everything you do from that moment will be about this revised focus. You have touched on a sacred moment. Ritual is only a tool as you may need it to be, from time to time, to help with focus. You begin to understand your purpose for being here by " noticing " , and refocusing, and discovering what you love. And as you experience that which you love, you continue each moment living that very thing. All experience in your moment to moment living is just a refocusing, and there is nothing else that can happen that you did not need to happen first so that can happen. You can not get it wrong. You are already " in spirit " , therefore " spiritual " . Simple begin to love your journey and indulge in each moment with your sacred self.
