Not being sure if I wanted a kitten or grown cat as a companion for Oliver (I didn't want him to be alone), I looked at the kittens and then went into the adult cat room. It was set up really nice for the grown cats and they were all free to roam around the large room. I walked in and (a year old) sauntered right up to me with his big fuzzy tail sticking up and rubbed against my leg as if to say, " Hi. I'm your new boy. " So, he chose me and became my new boy... was a flame point Siamese mix and a big cat weighing 18 lbs. at the most. He loved to be brushed. He would also rub the sides of his face on the brush and then try to bite the bristles. Most all the time he would keep his tail crooked at the top like a candy cane or question mark. Just about every morning that I left for work and would start locking the front door, he would take his time and stroll toward me (so I would wait of course!) as if to say his own goodbye and to get a final pet or scratch. When I returned home, he was usually there to greet me. How's that for warming your heart? Both he and Meezer had some dog-like qualities. Maybe a Siamese thing? As a lot of pets do, had a few nicknames: Tommy, Tom-Tom, Tommers, Mr. Nipper and Mr. Fancy Pants (he had curly hair on his tummy and up the back of his legs). He was ticklish on his tummy. On the Mr. Nipper nickname, he would only nip me. And, he could get hold of the smallest bit of skin so that it hurt more. Let me tell you, there is nothing like getting nipped on the outer thigh while you're trying to use the potty. had a big appetite for cat food but also had his favorite human foods. If he wanted something you had, he would let you know by tapping you with a paw and then sit there staring at you with his big blue eyes making you feel bad unless you shared. If you ignored him, he would just tap harder sometimes snagging your clothes. He loved Cheetos, ice cream, ham, Toaster Strudel icing, chow mein noodles, bacon, etc. His nose would lead him to any food that he was interested in. If you didn’t share willingly, he would try to help himself. Once, I was sitting on my bed eating a breakfast platter from Whataburger. He jumped up on the bed and watched me for a minute. Then he snatched a whole piece of bacon and tried to take off with it. My big boy also loved curly ribbon. Especially when it was tied to helium balloons. Whenever had one, I would close it in the bathroom at night so that he wouldn't have too much fun with it and chew it up. One day I was doing something at the bathroom sink. In the mirror I saw something going by. It was a balloon with a long length of curly ribbon being hauled off by no one other than ! Sneaky, sneaky. This wonderful creature will always have a special place in my heart. I feel blessed that I was chosen to be his mommy or 'pet parent.' Sweet face, beautiful blue eyes and a big, loving heart Sleeping in a kitty bed too small for his big self pace=5 DATASIZE= " 15131 " comp_state= " speed " ID= " 3 " SRC= " aoladp://MA22975651-0008/image007.jpg " > with his 'brother' and best buddy cross-eyed Meezer (also a flame point mix but opposite in features) sometimes called " The Brudders " . Or " Thing 1 " and " Thing 2 " . Meezer always groomed ' head and ears and usually a silent wrestling match followed. Meezer would put his paw out on ' forehead as if to tell him to stop. Then, would pummel Meezer with his famous 'bunny kicks' (hind legs). Kung Fu Kitty in action! I regret not taping one of their scuffles. Gone but never forgotten… A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above.
