Guest guest
I went 20 years without a diagnosis and then the major test - Western Blot came out negative. I would run - not walk - to the best Lyme Literate Doctor you can get to. I don't know any in Florida but I do know one that would treat you long distance if you are willing to travel to see him every 6 months. Did you feel better on the antibiotics? and then did you have a reaction? How long were you on them? and what kind? Did they test for co-infections? Does your doctor know about co-infections? Find a LLMD and continue your search - I raised 2 sons alone while struggling with Lyme - I wouldn't wish that on anyone! I'm sure someone on this board could suggest a LLMD in Florida especially if you tell us where you are in Florida. Hope that helps you not settle for your regular doctors thinking - they just don't all understand Lyme and it can change your life! Ann Ann Prow How Healthy Do You Want To Be???? Guest guest
Mike, Honestly you sound like you have Lyme. The strain of Lyme Bb the ticks in NJ carry must be one that goes straight for the heart because I've been there and done that and know of other New Jerseyans whose first symptoms of illness were cardiac in nature, and MVP problems tend to be part of it. Palpitations, tachycardia (and bradycardia), shortness of breath, muscle twitching in the chest, shortness of breath, dizziness and lightheadedness and not feeling 'right' and feeling anxious because your body knows something is amiss are all par for the course with this. Lyme can and does attack the heart and prolapse the mitral valve. And there's all the muscle, joint and neurological symptoms and fatigue that goes with the Lyme infection. You need to be evaluated by a LL doc.. You also need a LL cardiologist who understand why you're experiencing all those cardiac symptoms. When I first developed heart problems the cardiologists I went to were all uninformed, clueless and abusive jerks. Actually my western blot test was orderd by a cardiologist I was seeing back in 1994, and when it came back postive he decided that it should be ignored. The first and only cardiologist I ever saw who understood Lyme related MVP/cardiac problems was part of Hacksensack University Medical Center's clinic system. > > Hi, > > For the past several weeks I have not been feeling well. I have MVP which I've kept under control but lately I'm feeling different. Heart palpatations, tac, PVC's, twitching in left side of chest, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, anxiety. I'm wondering if something is making my MVP very bad. Whatever it is it's different because it's not going away. I wake up in the morning and the feeling starts with anxiety. > > I was tested back in the summer of 2008 after I was bit by a chipmunk and had a one day rash on my left leg above the knee that lasted for only one day. I was also test for Babiosis? I live in NJ. The tests were negative but I know of the high false positves. > > > I've had other symptoms like my tongue feels kinda numb or like I drank/eat something hot. Smells sometimes seem off. My right hip joint felt and butt cheek flelt numb in the morning with some pain in the joint. My right hand/fingers froze/cramped up after holding a pitcher. Skin/muscles sometimes seem to have a slight sunburn type of feeling, sometimes cold. My two toes have slight pain not in the joint but the lower left/right corner of nail. Behind my left knee on and off it feels like the muscle is a little soar with no pain. The wrist, thumb and elbow on my right side sometimes aches when using the joints. > > I'm not sure this could be lyme or something else is going on. In April 2005 I have several mecury filling removed and the result devistated me. I couldn't sleep, 2 panic attacks, heart problems, etc. It took several years to recover and now I feel like I'm regressing. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I told the office about the heart symptoms. I don't know what to do, beg for antibiotics to try? I'm going on a business trip soon and I cant perform while feeling this way. Should I see Dr. Fein in West Caldwell, NJ? What can I do now naturally to help eleviate the symptoms? I diagnosted myself with MVP before my cardiologist did so I hope I'm wrong this time thinking it's lyme. > > The right joint pain I had before 2008 and wonder after I moved in 2005 to where ticks now are I could have gotten lyme but the mercury stuff just covered anything up. I remember I think in 2006 that my daughter and I came down with body aches, stiff neck within days of each other. Say the doctor and he said it must have been something contatgous instead of lyme since we both got symptoms days apart. If it was lyme could this be possible too? > > I did get sick a few times and had my teeth cleaned. I haven't premedicated b4 the dentist since the AHA said it's no longer necessary but I'm going to start again. > > I still have some mercury fillings left in my mouth but I feel it's too dangerous to remove the rest until my health is much better. > > Please advise, > > Tnx, > > Mike in NJ >
