Guest guest
Dear Robyn, Don't waste your time unless you know someone who knows a good rheumatologist with a proven track record for being Lyme literate. I think there is one in California. Martha A.

So I thought hmm, Could it be possible she treats Lyme too and just doesn't advertise? So I went an asked. They said she does treat Lyme, now how much treatment and knowledge she has, I don't know but I guess I'll find out when I go there Sept 11th. Everyone keeps telling me there is no doctor in South Carolina who understands Lyme but I figure, if they're not advertising it for reasons we all know and noone thinks there's anyone here if we don't look how will we ever really know?... So i thought i'd write and ask opinions on what experiences people had with rheumy's... Thanks Robyn
Guest guest
Robyn, A Rheumatologist prescribed my IV Rocephin and was the best Lyme Dr. I had. So, not ALL Rheumatologists are bad. He's in OK if that helps any. Jean

Guest guest
The <<Don't waste your time one>>>>>. I can't emphasize enough it's not the title, its the Drs. knowledge, expertise, and participation in Lyme Disease awareness and research.............who cares if they are a Rheumatologist, an Internist, a Neurologist, a Psychologist, an Alternative MD, a Chiropractor, or General Practitioner............................................................... If they can treat with what appears to be the appropriate protocol that is working for you, and you are getting better, than that's what counts. I have the best Rheumatologist in the NJ................and I will stand behind her 100%. Conniek nwnj
