Guest guest
 from another groupmuch love,Liane We all believe that we are unique, that we are our own person. But we shall never reach our spiritual apex if we rely heavily on what others think of us, or if we try to be what we think others want us to be. Anyone who doesn't listen to their own soul, but instead listens to what others think of them or what others want them to do, has relinquished their own will. Such a person will not come to know contentment from within, as he or she has ultimately given up their purpose in life. That person has simply become an extension of another. Also, that person will not take responsibility for his/her actions, saying or thinking that some other person or group made him/her do it. To not take responsibility for your actions is to lose the gift of your freedom to choose. That loss keeps company with depression and ignorance. It is beneficial to listen to those who are wiser than you and to take their advice, but you have no right to hold others responsible for your deeds. It is not necessarily so important to be liked by someone or to always do what you think will make them happy. In fact, by doing what you believe is best, you gain something with other people that you didn't have before... their respect. Being true to yourself produces confidence because you will know who you truly are, and to your soul will come serenity. thanks to Raz and donna for the share  .
