This is a system file for Windows, not a virus. Everyone that uses Windows

will have it. Do not delete it. If you notice the last modified date for the

file, it will be whatever date that Windows was loaded on your computer.

Subject: Fw: VIRUS ALERT

Hi I found this file on my C drive - don't know whether it was a virus or not

but I deleted it - and I am afraid you are in my address book. Bw Rosie

Venables

Virus warning

I received a warning about this virus and yes it was in my system and so

may also be in yours as you are in my address book.

The name of this virus is jdbgmgr.exe and it is sent automatically by

the Messenger and by the address book.

The virus is not detected by McAfee or Norton and it stays quiet for 14

days before damaging the system.

The virus can be cleared before it deletes the files from your system.

In order to eliminate it, it is just necessary to do the following steps:

1. Go to Start, click " Search " (or " Find " )

2. In the " Files or Folders option " enter the name jdbgmgr.exe

3. Be sure that you are searching in the drive " C "

4. Click " find now "

5. If the virus is there (it has a little bear-like icon with the name of

jdbgmgr.exe) DO NOT OPEN IT FOR ANY REASON

6. Right click and delete it (it will go to the Recycle bin).

7.Go to the recycle bin and delete it or empty the recycle bin.

IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS IN YOUR SYSTEMS SEND THIS MESSAGE TO ALL CONTACTS

LOCATED IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK BEFORE IT CAN CAUSE ANY DAMAGE.

This virus alert is actually a HOAX used to try to get people to delete

something necessary for their system to run. Please don't follow the

directions!

If you ever want to find out if a virus alert is a hoax or not you

can go to truthorfiction.com and do a search. Actually you can look

up ANY forwarded e-mail that is circulating to see if it's true or

false. It's pretty interesting sometimes. This one is a hoax so

DON'T delete this file. If you did delete it and it's still in your

recycle bin go in there and restore it.

VIRUS ALERT

SO SORRY, EVERYONE!!!

DO NOT IGNORE THIS!!

I just found out this evening that I received a virus from someone that

has my name in their e-mail address book. As a result, my address book on

which I have your email address has also been infected

by a virus (called jdbgmgr.exe).

This virus is not detected by Norton or McAfee antivirus systems.

The virus stays quiet for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent

automatically by the Messenger and by the address book, whether or not I

have sent e-mails recently to you.

I have found and deleted it. Now it's your turn.

1. Go to Start, Find or Search option

2. In the files/folder option, write the name jdbgmgr.exe

3. Be sure you search in your C: drive

4. Click " find now "

5. The virus has a little bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe

DO NOT OPEN IT

6. Right click and delete it (it will then go the Recycle Bin)

7. Go to the Recycle Bin and delete it there as well, or empty the bin

IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK

SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS

Hello folks,

Prior to passing on " alerts " , www.snopes.com is a great site for checking out

their validity. It lists

this alert as a hoax. There was even a hoax recently begging for homes for some

beautiful puppies

that were going to be put down. For this virus alert, check the 'computer'

category. There are also other

site specific to viruses.

We all learn,

exactly !

the funny part about those emails. they were as if " returned " to me with an

attachemnt. but in my case, a virus was not detected.

whatever it is, if we all clean up our systems at the same time, we will free

ourselves from this (Amen)

Definitely remember that all attachments are stripped on this group. You

will never get an attachment from this list and if you do, it's no doubt a virus

email.

HUGE VIRUS COMING!!! PLEASE READ & FORWARD

Hi All, I checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up for this

virus!

I checked Snopes (URL above:), and it is for real!!

Get this E-mail message sent around to your contacts ASAP.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS!

You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an

attachment entitled 'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK,' regardless of who sent it to you.

It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C

of your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her

contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your

contacts It is better to receive

this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it..

If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do

not open it! Shut down your computer immediately.

This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by Microsoft as

the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday,

and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys

the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

COPY THIS E-MAIL, AND SEND IT TO YOUR FRIENDS. REMEMBER: IF YOU SEND IT TO THEM,

YOU WILL BENEFIT ALL OF US
