Guest guest Posted April 23, 2009 Report Share Posted April 23, 2009 Reiki Meditations   The following Reiki Meditations are compilations of various Reiki teachings. Mostly the techniques are brought forth from Hiroshi Doi, the only Western Reiki Master also schooled in Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, original Mikao Usui teachings. Sensei Doi founded Reiki-ho. Reiki-ho is a beautiful union of both Western and Eastern Reiki. Many of these meditations come from Gendai Reiki-ho and Hiroshi Doi's book Modern Reiki Method for Healing, Iyashino Gendai Reiki-ho. Additionally, the techniques are well versed with Tibetan Reiki influence as taught by many independent as well as notorious Reiki Masters. Begin with Self Cleansing Techniques.   Self Cleansing Techniques  Practice Feeling Ki            Reiki Showering            Light Breathing            Breathing through your Hands  Sending a Message to your Higher Self                  Hado Breathing Technique   Practice Feeling Ki Place hands in Gassho position Visualize reiki energy entering your crown chakra Fell reiki emanate throughout your whole being as it fills your body. Rub your hands together until your palms feel warm. Relax your wrists and shake your hands out. Relax your elbows and shake your arms. Return to Gassho and open your hands about 2 inches apart. Visualize chi emanating from your palms and relax  Once you begin to feel the ki, begin to explore with it. Separate your hands and then bring them close feeling the different sensations. Create a circle of reiki with your hands and place the circle in your heart.  Back to top    Reiki Shower Stand or sit. Keep your spine straight. Gassho. Reach your hands high above your head, straightening your arms. Move your hands apart and visualize reiki showering down on you. (Level 3 chants 4th symbol. Level 2 chants 1st symbol) Feel reiki vibrate through your body as your receive this reiki shower. At the same time, move your hands down the front of your body, palms facing you. As reiki emanates from the hands and showers the body from above, a thorough cleansing occurs. Visualize negative or stagnant energy releasing through your feet. When finished Gassho again and give thanks.  Back to top    Light Breathing Joshin Kokyu- ho as taught in Sho-den Level I Stand or sit. Keep your spine straight. Gassho. Reach your hands high above your head, straightening your arms. Move your hands apart and visualize reiki showering down on you. Slowly bring your hands down to your lap, palms up and relaxed. Focus on your tantien and listen to your breathing. On the inhale, visualize reiki energy entering your crown chakra and flowing to your tantien. See the energy reach each organ and fill the body. On the exhale, visualize reiki emanate from your skin, enter your aura and spread throughout the Universe. When finished, Gassho and give thanks.   Back to top    Breathing through the hands Stand or sit. Keep your spine straight. Gassho. Reach your hands high above your head, straightening your arms. Move your hands apart and visualize reiki entering your crown chakra. Return your hands to Gassho. Visualize reiki travel from your crown chakra to your palms. Activate your palms with reiki energy. On the inhale, visualize reiki moving from your palms to your tantien. On the exhale, visualize reiki moving from your tantien to your palms and release the energy in a burst.  When finished, shake wrists well. Gassho and give thanks.   Back to top    Sending a Message to your Higher Self Nentatsu-ho Sho-den Level I This technique is used to send a thought to your Higher Self or another person altogether. Often used during attunements. The affirmation, “You are perfectly attuned to Reiki†is often transmitted. use to transmit principles use when breaking bad habits use to reinforce positive affirmations. Stand or sit. Keep your spine straight. Gassho. Reach your hands high above your head, straightening your arms. Move your hands apart and visualize reiki entering your crown chakra. Place one hand on the hairline and the other on the back of the head State your affirmation. Send the message, clearly with positive intent and confidence. Move the hand from the hairline to join the hand at the back of the head and visualize reiki energy stimulating your thought. Let it glow. When finished, Gassho and give thanks.  Back to top    Hado Breathing Technique Sit with feet flat on the floor. Spine straight. Inhale very deeply Exhale from the mouth and let out the sound 'Haa' Feel 'Haa' vibrate from your tantien Repeat Practice exercise until you can sustain the sound 'Haa' for thirty seconds.  . This meditation can bring about relaxation, clairvoyance, increased healing ability, enhanced awareness, greater ability toward visualization, balance your energy and aid you in reaching goals 1. Sit comfortably, either on a cushion with legs folded or on a straight back chair. Keep your spine erect (without force). If you are sitting on a chair do not lean back. Rub your hand together and put your hands on your knees or on another place comfortable for you. 2. Relax and breath slowly, think about Reiki, ask that your Reiki guides join you. 3. Draw the Power symbol in front of you with your whole hand. Visualize how a white or violet light comes out through your fingers as you draw the symbol in the air in front of you. 4. Visualize the symbol in the third eye chakra and recite its name three times. Keep the symbol steadily in your third eye. 5. When you feel that you have meditated enough on this symbol let it float up into a field of light above your head. Return your consciousness to the third eye chakra. 6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 with the Mental/Emotional symbol and the Distance symbol. 7. When you are finished meditating on the three symbols you will be concentrated and full of healing Reiki energy. You can now continue with the final part of the meditation where you can send Reiki to your projects, goals or healing others at a distance. 8. Send Reiki by visualizing or describing the object, goals or person. You can use the method you have learned or the one you feel is most suitable to you. 9. When finished, slowly relax and release all thoughts. Sit quietly for a few minutes and enjoy the peace. 10. Rub your hands together and " wash " your face with them. Open your eyes, walk a few steps and feel how refreshed you are. Thank your Reiki Guides Reiki Meditation #2 Error! Filename not specified. 1. Draw the Master symbol and say the mantra 3 times 2. Lift your hands from the sides, keeping your arms straight, slowly breathing in, till your hands are above your head. 3. Keep your palm sides up, contacting the Universe 4. Feel the Reiki energy pouring in and surrounding you 5. Close your eyes and move your hands down slowly and Gassho in front of your face, feeling the vibration in your hands 6. Keep the fingers straight with your tips of middle fingers at the height of your 6th chakra 7. Breathe naturally while imagining you are breathing threw your hands 8. Keep this breathing for awhile and relax 9. Slowly lift your non-dominant hand straight up in the air and put your dominant hand on your lap with palms up naturally open 10. Feel the energy coming threw your non-dominant hand in the air and going out threw your dominant hand on your lap for awhile 11. Put your non-dominant hand down on your lap, just like your other hand 12. Feel the Universal Love and harmony for as long as you like 13. End this meditation with Gassho Error! The ability to enjoy each moment. A loss of interest in judging other people. A loss of interest in judging self. A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others. A loss of interest in conflict. A loss of ability to worry. Frequent overwhelming episodes of appreciation. Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature. Frequent attacks of smiling. An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen. An increased susceptibility to experience the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.
