Being ethical is not just acting on your own opinion of right or wrong, as our opinions are rooted in our Ego; nor is simply following the norms of society, because there are times when laws are wrong or poorly written.  When we develop an ethical attitude, we commit ourselves to a continuous process of evaluation of our views and actions, judging ourselves by the knowledge of honesty, compassion and integrity that flows from our soul.  Finally, ethics are not situational:  they are a moral compass to help you chart the course of your life.
