Guest guest
Hi Tom, Glad to hear that you are feeling better about things. We wash the dye off of Valtrex because alot of our kids are sensitive to dyes. Valtrex has a tremendous coating of dye on it. Guest guest
Some brands of Valtrex have less blue dye - the one we get in Singapore is from Wellcome in the UK and has only the brand name " Valtrex " and the dosage " 200mg " in blue. We still wiped that off. switched to FamVir later - does a lot better and there's no dye to wipe off! Guest guest
Dear , I'm happy that you let us know what the results of your echocardiogram are. I'm glad that the doctor believes that you shouldn't have a serious problem with your aortic stenosis. You've got enough to handle already! Here is a really excellent cardiology site where you can learn all kinds of things about the heart, including aortic stenosis: http://www.cardiologychannel.com/aorticstenosis/ I've visited the site a few times myself because I have a few questions about my own heart. Hope this information helps you. I'm glad that you find the group to be of comfort to you. You're a gentle, kind soul, and I wish you weren't suffering. So, now that you know the test results, did the doc suggest anything for you to do? Do you have to keep an eye on it? Could it be a problem later on? Guest guest
Elyse... Please look into the " Iridodial " (ant extract from Germany as discussed by Dr. Nieper in the book " The Curious Man " , The Life & Works of Dr. Hans Nieper). It has been available in the U. S. through Nutrient rs, Santa , NM under the Advanced Research Label for one or two months. Dr. Haltiwanger, an M.D. from Germany who practiced with Dr. Nieper for several years, is now on Staff at Nutrient rs. I am sure your husband is aware of it's current availability and it's effectiveness with breast cancer, but I just had to make sure. God Bless You! Pat Thank you Most of you know I am having bi-lateral mastectomies tomorrow (Tue.) Where I have not had the time to thank you individually I can not tell you how much I appreciate all the cards and letters and pictures of the children that have been sent. You know who you are and I won't embarrass anyone with extra thanks … Because of the work with your children over the last years many of my friends never understood why I did not have time for them… I can not tell you enough that the cards, prays and well wishes and especially seeing pictures of some of your children that I have not seen in a while tells me what I have given up has been more than worth it! Thanks for all the support… And for all of the support you have shone my husband ( Dr. G) it is a really a tough time for him. Guest guest
Doris, I have a recommended place to stay. It is called Summerfield INNS and Suites by Wyndam resorts. There is one located in Torrance near Harbor UCLA where you will have the SPECT scan done. I do recommend that, my girls recently had theirs done. The suites are two bedroom two baths. Full kitchen including dishwasher, oven microwave, full refrigerator, and fully stocked with pots, pans, etc. Great to maintain diet regimen. There is also a full complimentary breakfast. It is pricey, at $200 per night, but it is a mini apartment. I got the price down by bringing my mother and got a rate of $119 with her AARP membership. I can't find the number but should you want it you should be able to find it through the 800 directory. You might belong to other organizations that will offer a discount. It is further from Dr. G., but I love this place and have stayed there twice. I don't know about GFCF but there are larger chain grocery stores close by and the selection was good. Hope this helps. Lici Thank you First - I want to thank everyone for the excellent ideas and suggestions on 'traveling with your child' !! We're visiting Dr G in August and (hopefully) having a neurospect done (talking to Dr G about this in July) We're flying on America West (tried for TWA but seats are going fast). Suggestions on places to stay, GFCF-friendly places and food stores are welcomed! We're going to take some hour hoppers to N.C. and Ohio to prime for flying. And I'm going to call BWI and see if we can get a tour of a plane there (I figure if their planes can buzz the house they can give us a tour of one). Second - I want to apologize for my frazzled-nerve posting earlier in the week. But as an analyst, I needed information. As a mom, security. After waving the white SOS flag earlier in the week, things are much calmer now. The puzzle pieces are starting to click into place: appts - plane tix - POCs ....... If one more 'coincidence' happens, I'm going to start to look for Rod Stieger. Things happen for a reason, and I guess you need to stand back every now and then and look. Not to mention has had a really good week (in all of this 95 degree HHH weather we're having here) ) Thanks for all the words of reassurance and support! doris sville MD Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. Guest guest
Doris, The Whole Food Markets are all over the LA area. They really helped me out when we went last year. Also, if you need something specific they might be able to order it for you. I believe there's one right in Torrance. Good luck!
Guest guest
Doris There's a Whole Foods on Venture Bvd at Canoga in Woodland Hills, so if you stay at the Marriott there or the Holiday Inn on Ventura its very close. This is about 2 miles from Dr G - Wilbur Ave runs off Ventura Blvd. We ordered special GF/CF cake there at the bakery section - I even got to speak to the bakery supplier on the other side of town!! We stayed in the Marriott at Woodland Hills each time, which while not the cheapest, was easier to organise from overseas, and easy for transport from the Airport. Also, the hotel were willing to order some special foods like GF/CF bread, or meats you might need, - speak to Colleen Busch - head of restaurants X. 6139 (1-818-887 4800) she is very helpful - explain the situation - you will need to advise her to pre-brief the kitchens that you will be ordering off-menu items, plain (no fancy sauces etc. whatever your child needs). Then when you do order either room service or in the restaurants, you will need to be double sure that they know what is going on - a bit of staff training is necessary. Also consider adjoining rooms if the family is going. There is a Hertz desk right there as well so you can book a car. End of week rates are cheaper, and try to avoid peak times anyway. Cheapest rate we have had was $89 but when we went last August it was $144 - in the middle of the Democrat Convention!! We've done three trips now, and now we know the area a bit better, will consider cheaper accommodation where we might have a small kitchenette or something. The first time is a bit daunting, but each tripe gets easier. regards, Re: Thank you Doris, The Whole Food Markets are all over the LA area. They really helped me out when we went last year. Guest guest
We need to approach a hotel or two out there for special rates. There are enough of us coming though that we should be able to make a deal- for example if the group recommends a particular hotel. Also with the possibility of conferences on the horizon there is even more reason for this kind of thing. Business do it why shouldn't we???? Does anyone have good contacts in tt or another chain that is our there? --- Original Message ----- From: " R M " <rmwilson@...> < > Sent: Friday, July 13, 2001 10:22 AM Subject: RE: Thank you > Doris > There's a Whole Foods on Venture Bvd at Canoga in Woodland Hills, so if you > stay at the Marriott there or the Holiday Inn on Ventura its very close. > This is about 2 miles from Dr G - Wilbur Ave runs off Ventura Blvd. We > ordered special GF/CF cake there at the bakery section - I even got to speak > to the bakery supplier on the other side of town!! > > We stayed in the Marriott at Woodland Hills each time, which while not the > cheapest, was easier to organise from overseas, and easy for transport from > the Airport.
