We were not placed here on Earth with a meter running and a final bill to be settled at some cosmic bank in the afterlife.  Life here on Earth is a Gift and with the Gift of Life comes a second:  the Gift to Choose.  Each of us faces challenges, but no situation is hopeless and the opportunities in life far outweigh them.  You can choose to turn inward and away from life, or you can chose to honor Life by reaching out, connecting with others, and finding the joy in your Gift.
