Guest guest
*awareness, prayer required... Here are the basics: NASA has a new mission that is on course as we speak. it is called the LCROSS mission- the Lunar CRater and Observing and Sensing Satellite. on june 18th of this year the LCROSS launched from cape canaveral and right now it is near the moon. on october 9th at 4:30 am PDT the spacecraft will hurl a rocket called 'the centaur rocket' at the moon at twice the speed of a bullet, which will transform " 2200 kg of mass and 10 billion joules of kinetic energy into a blinding flash of heat and light. researchers expect the impact to throw up a plume of debris as high as 10 km. " the idea behind this is that there may be water on the moon and by hurling a rocket at it we can find molecules of water thrown up into the debris that results from the rocket being hurled at the moon. for more scientifically explicit information click on the links i've included below- both from NASA and from others who oppose the mission. okay- so here's my commentary....
