Greetings Friends, The summer months are coming to a close here in California. It’s been good in many ways for GCI and we hope it has been for you as well. As we move toward fall and the rest of the year there is a lot going on with the Global Coherence Initiative that we want to share with you. We really appreciate the comments we receive from our members and people in our social networking groups such as Gaia and Facebook. It lets us know what you are thinking and feeling. Here are a couple of comments:

— Hunter, Naples, Florida We are hearing about GCI groups that are forming in various parts of the world and that’s exciting. An initiative sponsored and directed by The Unity Center in San Diego has 75 to 100 people meeting in small groups regularly. They learn and practice techniques to increase their personal coherence and they collectively send their heart-focused care to help the world in alignment with the overall direction of GCI. We haven’t mentioned the Global Coherence Monitoring System much lately, but the study of the earth’s fields certainly is proceeding. Dedicated scientists are daily analyzing data generated from our sensor site and they are learning a lot about the earth’s fields. Here is a photo, with researcher Mike Atkinson, of the lab at the Institute of HeartMath where the data taken from our sensor site in Northern California is studied. development of the science component of GCI will be featured in a message you’ll receive in the near future. We’d like to remind you that the International Day of Peace is coming up soon. This is a chance to add our coherent contribution to an event that attracts millions of people around the world. In support of this special day, Sept. 21, we’ll be doing a special Webinar, Co-creating a Peaceful World, twice that day for GCI members: the first at 11 a.m. (PDT) and the second at 6 p.m. (PDT). On Oct. 15, Steering Committee members Gregg Braden and will be in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to present 2012 and Beyond: The Shift Has Begun!, a special event celebrating the Global Coherence Initiative.
